Buy Flip-Box XL Insulation Box - Fits 60 Cans, Collapsible Iceless Cooler Perfect for Tailgating, Picnics, and Beach Trips: Coolers - desertcart.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases Review: Stays incredibly cold - I bought 3 of these, small (classic), large and extra large. It's a bit early still for picnic weather, but I wanted to test them. They are easy to open up and fit together, and easy to fold back flat. They are very light weight. They don't seem to be air tight or water proof, so I would recommend only bagged ice or ice packs. I opened up the smaller one and put in enough ice packs to cover the bottom. The instructions do say that the more full the cooler, the longer it will stay cold, but I didn't fill it up, just one layer of packs on the bottom. We checked it after 5 hours and the packs were still rock hard. Then I forgot about it. Next morning, after 22 hours, the packs were still mostly frozen, only liquid around the edges. Granted I don't heat my house very warm in the winter, but it was about 65 degrees. I will update after I have used them for real. Review: Surprisingly Adaptable and well made - This product came through quickly and well packed. The flipbox is sturdy, well made and very adaptable. This product has so many uses and folds down to a nice compact size. As an example, I am presently using this box as a bread proofing container and have been monitoring the temperature to see how consistent it holds. The temperature is consistent. I can throw it in my car for shopping trips and take it to picnic gatherings. I like the flipbox so much, I will probably pick up another.

Packed Up
You can't go wrong with these coolers. I bought 2 XL and they worked perfect for the need to travel. Plenty of room for a 2 half hams in one container, and 2 smoked 15 lb turkeys in the other. I was able to put a med container of frozen turkey broth in one and put 3 containers of Cool Whip in them. Celery went in, butter, and plenty more of anything that was cold. I made sure I followed what they said in packing instructions, by filling up the air space in these containers. My trip was a 5 hour one and when I got to my destination the ham, turkey, and everything else felt like it was just taken out of the fridge, the Cool Whip was still frozen and the turkey broth was also. I truly was amazed with this product and was very, very skeptical in buying it. I read every comment from the pros to the cons about this item and I can say without a doubt that it worked for me.. I will now carry these in my car for shorter trips for keeping things cold. When summertime comes I will put these to the ultimate test for keeping your items cold. I have been eyeing a smaller version for keeping my lunch cool at work.

Does the job!
I wanted to wait to review this product until I had put it to the test. I've used it mostly when buying groceries and returning home in a half hour or so, so I wasn't able to tell if it really works at keeping things cold. Last weekend, I finally tested it... unintentionally. I had used it to take some food to a cookout, but I had bought almond milk to take home and left it in the insulation box by itself. Not only that, but the insulation box was also sitting in direct sunlight. When I realized the almond milk was in the cooler several hours later, it was still chilled. I won't say it was as cold as it was coming out of the supermarket, but it was not room temperature or hotter. I was amazed! If the cooler had been filled (which is what the manufacturer recommends for optimum effectiveness), I'm sure the almond milk would have been colder. The design of this insulation box is ingenious. I love how it folds down. It is very lightweight. My only concern is that it doesn't seem that sturdy. I try to treat it gently when I use it. If the manufacturer could figure out a way to make it sturdier, it would be a perfect product. That being said, I really like this product. I will be buying one or two more to give as gifts!

Pack items cold frozen or fresh Enjoy!!!!
Just wow! Okay, I was a bit scared by some reviews on other websites about this item being a “styrofoam box”. But, since I’m not one to just sheepishly follow the crowd, I bought the ice chest here on Amazon with my own money. We just returned from Orlando with milk, ice cream, and cold cuts ( frozen), my husband decided to stop to shop for some last minute Father’s Day gifts in Daytona and St. Augustine on the way back to Georgia. Well, I was a bit worried to say the least!!!! But, the box HELD UP. The regular, almond, sherbets, ice cream, cold cuts, and cooked foods stayed ICE COLD AND FRESH. We left Orlando at 9:00 am and arrived home (after shopping and being caught in a traffic jam enroute) with everyone in Place and all food some of which we brought from home—-STILL COLD AND READY TO EAT. I didn’t pack the sodas or water, just my food and I’m EXTREMELY PLEASED. Hot food here we COME!!!!

Works Perfectly as a Proofing Box
I was worried when the shipping box, large as it was, weighed so little. But I was happy when I was able to set up this box in less than a minute and modify it just a little to suit my needs -- as a bread dough proofing box. The internal dimensions hold two 12" bowls with a germination heat mat -- which will allow me to proof dough for four loaves at once. The box holds heat well in a home where my wife likes to keep the internal temperature at just a tad above arctic levels, so now I can cut proofing time in half. I know that this is not a purpose for which this box was specifically designed, but it will do the job well - and all the materials to build a proofing box comes out to $100 less than the cheapest proofing box I could find on this site.
