I cannot rave enough about my new ceramic knife! Not only is it stunning with it's high-gloss finish, but the blade is extremely sharp. The handle has an almost silky feel to it and fits nicely in my hand. It's become a workhorse in my kitchen and has replaced my stainless steel chef's knife. Ceramic knives can be expensive, which is why it took me so long to buy one. I decided to take a chance on the Miyako brand and I am so glad I did. It's an incredible value!I do a lot of entertaining and while I don't mean to show off my new knife, it's often the topic of conversation. I've turned many of my guests into believers. Nice ceramic knife, good value for the price. Made in China. One complaint, it ships without any protective sheath for storage. The box it comes in large and impractical for storage. Ceramic knives chip easily and need to be stored in a protective sheath.
