Where are the superior men?
Although iโm a woman. I found this book to be quite enjoyable. Iโve read it twice. In my opinion, Deida delivered to the โtraditional" masculine and wounded masculine perfectly. His words felt like law, a manual flow. There was a mix of accountability, logic, direction, disarming, emotional intelligence, and a sprinkle of sensible spirituality. And I could feel his sincerity. It was captivating, timeless even. Iโm sure any man that reads this book with an open mind, as well as an open heart will grow fond of his purpose.

The Way of the Superior Man Warning
The Way of the Superior Man Warning: This book contains coarse language and sexual content that might shock and/or offend sensitive readers. David Deidaโs, The Way of the Superior Man is not a religious book. However, large parts of it articulate, corroborate, and align with identical spiritual principles found in Ephesians 5 and other parts of the Bible. Ephesians 5:21 Out of respect for Christ, be courteously reverent to one another. 22-24 Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ. The husband provides leadership to his wife the way Christ does to his church, not by domineering but by cherishing. So just as the church submits to Christ as he exercises such leadership, wives should likewise submit to their husbands. 25-28 Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the churchโa love marked by giving, not getting. Christโs love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. Theyโre really doing themselves a favorโsince theyโre already โoneโ in marriage. 29-33 No one abuses his own body, does he? No, he feeds and pampers it. Thatโs how Christ treats us, the church, since we are part of his body. And this is why a man leaves his father and mother and cherishes his wife. No longer two, they become โone flesh.โ This is a huge mystery, and I donโt pretend to understand it all. What is clearest to me is the way Christ treats the church. And this provides a good picture of how each husband is to treat his wife, loving himself in loving her, and how each wife is to honor her husband. (The Message) Solomon, in all his wisdom wrote the following: Three things amaze me and a fourth, I do not understand how an eagle glides through the sky, how a snake slithers on a rock, how a ship navigates the ocean, how a man loves a woman? Manโs relationship with his wife is a profound mystery (for most men). To understand this relationship is the key to fathom our relationship with ourselves, our work and the ever changing feminine world around us. But more significantly, the paradigm of this relationship also describes our Heavenly Fatherโs relationship with us, as expressed in John 3:16: For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. This book gave me a new insight into this mystery and enabled me to be a better man in my marriage and in my work. the navigator navx360.com

Loved it learned a lot
The Way of the Superior Man stands as a timeless guide for men seeking to navigate the often conflicting demands of purpose, love, and desire. Originally published over two decades ago, David Deidaโs work continues to resonate with men of all agesโproof of its relevance in todayโs evolving conversations around masculinity and self-actualization. Deida challenges outdated archetypes, urging men to move beyond the extremes of the โmacho jerkโโall spine, no heartโand the โsensitive wimpโโall heart, no spine. Instead, he presents a balanced path: one that calls for strength grounded in authenticity, and openness rooted in presence. At its core, this book is not just about being a "better man" in the traditional sense, but about becoming a fully present humanโone capable of deep intimacy, grounded purpose, and spiritual growth. With insights that bridge the personal and the philosophical, Deida speaks to the universal struggles men face in their relationships, careers, and inner lives. The newly included introduction adds fresh perspective, inviting a new generation to engage with this work in light of todayโs cultural and emotional landscape. Whether you're revisiting it or discovering it for the first time, The Way of the Superior Man offers enduring guidance for anyone committed to living with more passion, integrity, and presence.

Great Book
The Way of the Superior Man is an in-depth look at many challenges men face on a daily basis--keeping a woman happy , finding fulfillment and purpose in a career, becoming a master lover--and how to solve these challenges. It is a practical book that acts more as a reference manual based on subject, not a formal story or novel. Fifty-one chapters make seem like a lot for a book fewer than 200 pages, but each has very meaningful information. Dieda challenges men to "...evolve beyond the macho jerk ideal, all spine and no heart" and "...beyond the sensitive and caring wimp ideal, all heart and no spine." His offer for men is to unite the heart and spine to become `The Superior Man'. There are two main themes Dieda bases the majority of his book on. First is the literal polarity and pull between the masculine and feminine poles. Like opposite end of a magnet, men have dominant poles and women are feminine poles, these traits will attract one another. When polarity is lost between a man and women, sexual desire and the relationship itself can easily cease. Second is the idea that all men have a purpose in life which must be discovered and followed. Purpose is the core of a man's life and he must never give up whatever his purpose is. These ideas are visited many times throughout the book as principals a masculine man should be aware of and follow. This was one of the most interesting books I have ever read. Deida's has a unique writing style, using carefully chosen words and phrases very bluntly. I enjoyed his writing style although it could easily offend others. His audience is geared toward men who need advice spoken in plain English with a `hit-to-the-head-with-a-club' style. He does a fantastic job at portraying real life examples that men face with women and work, and offers simple solutions. Pros of this book are the easy-to-read style and real world examples to relate to. Cons are the book itself does not cover all topics you need to be successful with work and women, it's not that comprehensive. However, I would recommend this book to any man who is willing to take the challenge increasing their masculinity and becoming a `Superior man with spine and heart'.

I loved this book!
As a woman who has read and explored David Deida's The Way of the Superior Man, I found it to be an incredibly eye-opening and insightful book. While it is primarily written for men, it offers invaluable lessons and a deeper understanding of masculine growth and development, making it a valuable read for women as well. Deida's exploration of masculine-feminine dynamics is particularly noteworthy. He sheds light on the unique challenges and struggles men face in their journey towards self-discovery and authenticity. By delving into these topics, he provides women with a profound understanding of the masculine experience, fostering empathy, compassion, and a deeper connection with the men in our lives. The book encourages women to embrace and honor the qualities of the masculine, recognizing its importance and inherent value in relationships and personal growth. It promotes an appreciation for the dynamic interplay between masculine and feminine energies, emphasizing the power of polarity and the potential for a harmonious and fulfilling partnership. Furthermore, The Way of the Superior Man explores the complexities of sexuality and intimacy from a masculine perspective. Deida offers a fresh and nuanced understanding of sexual dynamics, inviting women to explore their own desires and better understand the desires of their male partners. This insight can lead to a deeper level of connection and communication in relationships, fostering a more fulfilling and passionate connection. While it may be tempting to label The Way of the Superior Man as solely focused on men, it is crucial to recognize that the book aims to foster growth and understanding in both genders. By gaining insight into the challenges and aspirations of men, women can contribute to a more supportive and compassionate environment for personal growth and self-discovery. In summary, The Way of the Superior Man offers women a unique opportunity to gain profound insights into the masculine journey. It provides a deeper understanding of masculine-feminine dynamics, sexuality, and personal growth, fostering empathy, connection, and personal development. I highly recommend this book to any woman seeking to deepen her understanding of the men in her life and enhance her own personal growth journey.

People state this book is mysogynistic. Quite the opposite
Misogyny is the prejudice or hate towards women. This book preaches this opposite. It really helps a man/or woman to understand the difference between female energy and male energy. It is not a literal book at least most of it is not. Instead, it offers ideas and philosophical truths that can not be measured by science or academics. The level of knowledge and insight only can only derive from the loving and studying of the human existence and the rivers in which its energy flows. The messages illustrated in this book are beneficial to any person who has an open mind and is willing to read words decipher, what they mean and apply them in their life. It answers age-old questions men keep asking and annoying their partners with like "why won't she tell me where she wants to go" "why is she in a bad mood" "why is she always nagging me" etc etc. You have to listen and meditate on the information to find the answer you seek. When you do, it will blow you away. Your relationship with yourself life and your partner comes down to finding your purpose and I believe David found his purpose writing this. I don't think there could be as much love and attentiveness as there is if his whole soul and heart were not involved in its creation. I was looking for information on how to work on my relationship/ my shortcomings and I just kept finding pickup books with tricks and games. This is what I was look for this book breaks everything down to spiritual level where you can look at your woman beside you in an entire different light and wonder in her beauty. You see her more as an ocean wild, free full of life and you see how you have been putting up blockers consequently turning her into a swimming pool. Then you realize not all but some of the problems you have been complaining about, stem from you not fulfilling your purpose not allowing yourself to be the polar masculine which in prevents her from being an alive ocean but a dreary swimming pool. One of the best quotes that I think all men should hear from the chapter "praise her" is "Assume she is more like a flower that needs watering than an engine that needs a carburetor adjustment. Her feminine speech is far more like poetry than like a clearcut agenda for action." Mind blown. If you are seeking knowledge beyond shallow tips and tricks, read this book If you want to understand a real spiritual discovery and a new found love for your partner's quirks that irked you a bit before, please read this book it is truly beautiful.
