This light has a lead that plugs into the light bulb socket for the license plate light. The socket is just left hanging under the truck at the rear bumper, unprotected from rain, splashed water and dirt. I needed it to pass state inspection, but don’t expect it to last through the winter without corrosion damaging the socket. I can’t recommend this product. There are some that screw into the socket to make it water tight, but this one isn’t it.

Easy to install in my Ford Ranger.. To install you insert connector from new LED tag light into the bulb socket in the existing tag light. I then used silicone to protect the exposed connection from the elements.Lights are very bright.. In fact my tag lights are now brighter than my headlights..

One of my stock plate light housings was broken and flopping around. Figured why not upgrade.Took 10 minutes to install but would have been 5 if I checked the polarity before reinstalling them.Super bright and the housings look stock and fit perfectly. If you want to freshen the look of the plate lights or even better, if one of them is broken, I would highly recommend this product.

Definitely light up the license plate but I have a backup camera attached to the top on the plate and it doesn’t interfere at night due to the location of the camera and brightness of the lights. I still recommend them.

Easy to install, looks great, would recommend. I hardwired due to fords having issues with corrosion on those plate light adapters, but was still a breeze, very happy with purchase.
