LEGO Disney The Ice Castle 43197 Building Toy Kit; A Gift That Inspires Independent Princess Play; New 2021 (1,709 Pieces)

I bought this for my daughters 29th Birthday. Yes 29th she is a kid at heart and loves these castles. I bought her one at Christmas and she has it on her self displayed with lights. She was over the moon when she got this. I love that even at this age she can still have fun. It is a beautiful castle.

Just got the frozen castle all was going well until we reached step 3. A lot of pieces were missing only to find out the missing pieces were in the step 4 bags. Very stressful going through the different step bags trying to figure out if those pieces were needed for that step or different steps. Just a heads up for other buyers.

I bought this kit because as a young girl in the ‘80’s, I never got Lego kits as gifts. I had to ask my older brother if I could play with his Legos. My plan was to build the castle then let my daughter, who is too young to build it, play with the figures and such.I enjoyed putting this kit together, but bag #8 was missing a piece. Took off one star because for the price, quality control should have made sure all the pieces were included.I was provided extra pieces - 2 noses for Olaf, an extra ice skate and some others. That was a nice gesture. However, I’d prefer all the pieces listed in the manual to be provided.Update: I went to the Lego customer service site and filled out a quick, simple form to replace the missing piece. It arrived within a few business days. Very impressed with how quick and easy it was. Great customer service from a quality brand.

Just like other reviewers I’ve been very frustrated by missing pieces in this set. Bag 3 is a mess. I wound up ordering a second set and it has the same issues. I’ve literally spent hours searching through all the bags to find the right pieces between the 2 sets with no luck. I’ve done many Lego sets with my son and this is my first build with my daughter. It’s been a total bust… If this were my first experience with Legos it would be my last.

I love Legos, and so do my kids. Altogether we must have built hundreds of sets. Unfortunately, this one has many pieces missing in bag 3. We have ordered another set, assuming that first one was faulty, only to realize that the second one has the same pieces missing, in the same bag :-(
