Contigo Autospout Straw Ashland Glass Water Bottle, 20 oz., Scuba

I first bought this water bottle 3 years ago. Of all the water bottles I've tried, this has been my favorite.Pros:* leakproof* durable* easy to use, including for spoonies* easy to do regular maintenance cleaningCons:* deep cleaning the straw area requires a straw brush and some patience* it's protected by silicone but it is still glassUse: I love the silicone sippy straw - I can grab it with one hand and don't have to lift the bottle to drink it dry. The trigger button on the front has a locking mechanism, and unlike on the Ello, neither seem to be vulnerable to cracking. I was able to get small-to-medium sized ice cubes in the bottle without trouble.Leakproof: Over time I've had everything from an Ello to a CamelBak Eddy develop leaks that couldn't be solved by just replacing the gasket. Not this bottle. I've kept it in my bag with important papers and never had a problem.Cleaning: usually I just toss it in the dishwasher, but periodically it needs attention around the sippy spout/straw area. Unlike with a CamelBak bite valve, the silicone part of the sippy spout doesn't come off. You do need a tiny brush (like for cleaning straws) and some patience to get into the interface between the sippy spout and the hard plastic lid. So that can be tough, but I find I don't need to do it very often.Durability: I often clip it to whatever bag I'm carrying and then swing the bag behind me as I run up the subway stairs, so the clip gets heavy wear when the bottle is full. The clip is well designed and would still work even if the spring were to wear out (I think - mine never did). This bottle gets banged around a lot and occasionally dropped, but the silicone sleeve kept it safe through normal use. The sleeve covers most of the bottom so even if I put it down too hard on granite counters I didn't have to worry about it cracking. The thing that finally killed it was when I put it not in a paneer, but just in a canvas bag hanging from the mousetrap on my bike. There was too much swinging movement and it got repeatedly smashed side-on into a bolt that stuck out from the mounting bracket. Nothing glass would have survived that. Now I need to buy another of these bottles because nothing else I've tried is half as good.

I really really love this water bottle!!! I have never used a glass water bottle before. Always purchased plastic ones. I was in need of a replacement for the current one that I've been using which was also purchased here on Amazon. It was a 32oz plastic bottle which served it's purpose while at work but it got to a point that it was just too big to take back and forth with me. So I decided to downsize and go with glass since I've heard that it's much better and safer when it comes to drinking water from it. I did some searching and came across this one by Contigo. I've read the reviews and decided to purchase it. It arrived and I took it with me to work today. It was PERFECT in every way. The size is just right for me. Drinking ice cold water from a glass bottle was actually nicer and strangely enough, there is a difference in taste between drinking from plastic and glass. Interesting. The drinking spout works very well and the lock feature gives me peace of mind while taking it with me. The angled straw is nice because you can get every last drop of liquid from your bottle. The non-slip silicone sleeve is a pretty color and keeps your glass bottle safe although you can still break the glass if you drop it on a hard surface. Lol. Over all, I am very happy with this purchase. When in doubt - choose glass over plastic. It's so much better.

This is water bottle perfection! I have had mine for over 2 years. Use it almost daily. Have dropped it a few times, impacting the bottom of the bottle, but its fine.-Pretty-Can see in to see how much liquid-Silicone cover that is easy to grip-Has a loop on top that operates like a lanyard. Can clip on belt or backpack.-Has a silicone spout so when you're on the treadmill or hiking you wont break your teeth while taking a drink!-The straw inside screws on so It won't come loose.-The straw actually slants toward the inside edge so you can get the last drop. Who'd a thunk it.-I use a bottle brush to clean it, and a straw brush to clean the straw and the spout. The spout allows thebrush to pass through so you can get it clean.-The only drawback, which doesn't bother me, is my car has tension hooks down in the cup holders andbc of the openings in the silicone it gets stuck when I try to take it out. I either rotate it or put a papertowel down in the holder.A great bottle!

My gf loves this thing! Glass bottle with a protective rubber cover that looks really good. Flip top straw that allows you to suck water or beverage instead of having to tip it up. A little more civilized than a straight up water bottle. Has a great little handle that makes it easy to hold on to or clip onto your bag or whatever. Easy to clean and works really well. Keeps your water or beverage fairly cold for a decent amount of time. You'd obviously need an insulated bottle if you wanted it to stay cold or hot for hours on end. Overall, this is great and it looks really cool! So far so good durability wise. She loves it!

This water bottle is amazing!! I love the lock feature you have on the side so you dont have to worry about water spilling inside your bag. Its a really good water bottle. Definitely better than plastic ones! The only thing that I didnt like with this bottle is that when I opened it, water would squirt out and i wouldnt understand why. I dont over fill it. But other than that its great. Im very happy with it :)

It's glass, has a decorative protective cover, fits in a bike water bottle holder, and it doesn't taste like warm plastic. Highly recommend.
