This cat backpack is absolutely much more than I have expected to find after a long search. It is strongly made with very good quality materials, and comfortable for both me and my cat(5kg) on my back. It is all you need to take your cat for a walk, outing or vet visit. I have not yet used it to travel by air yet. Archibald loves his sightseeing walks in nature so much.

I love that it mostly looks like a normal backpack. Great fabric/pattern and good quality. Expandable option is a bonus! My cat grew out of his cat carrier (when taking him to the vet) and this will double as that. :)I leave it on the floor and he consistently will go crawl in on his own, so it is cat approved!

I will start with the pros; as there are great things about this item.Pros:1. This item is compact, it is the size of a regular backpack which was really convenient as the other carriers like this were absolutely huge and bulky.2. It was very comfortable to wear! The straps and back were padded and make wearing the backpack light, and comfortable.3. Having the back strap, allowing me to buckle the backpack in as if it were a car seat, was reassuring for me that the backpack wouldn't be moving around, causing distress to my cat. This allowed provided my cat security within it and she was more calm.4. Being able to unzip and fold the back out, creating the rectangular netting area for her to lay/walk in is very convenient; I went to a festival and carried her around, and when stopping at a restaurant, I was able to put the backpack under my chair, unzip the back and she was able to venture out more, than if she was just stuck in the backpack part.The cons of this item, are pretty significant for me, my lifestyle and for my cat.Cons:1. I purchased this item roughly 4-5 weeks ago and the wire within the netting in the front is already popping out (The best comparison I can give to this, is when a woman's bra has the wire pop out of the side)- I'm disappointed that this has already happened only after roughly a month of use.2. I truly believe the size/weight that is listed within the description is a tad misleading; which.I had seen in other reviews while trying to determine if I wanted to purchase this item; but being that my cat was significantly smaller than the complaints in the reviews and much smaller than the item description; I went for it. My cat weighs 9lbs. and when the back part is unzipped and folded down, she barely has any room to stand up in; her head is nearly at the top of the netting. The pictures in the item description make it appear that the car has a lot of space (especially according to the size of cat it said it was for)3. When unzipped, allowing the netting portion to unfold, again I find the pictures to be incredibly misleading; the picture shows that the netting stands up completely straight and structured; just as if you were to buy a playpen for your pet- you'd expect the sides to be sturdy to keep it straight/upright-- this item doesn't, there is little structure to helping it remain sturdy to help hold/keep its shape.4. The lead/leash part that you can clip to your cat inside the backpack is SO SHORT. My cat cannot be clipped in and roam to the other side of the backpack (well she can, but you can see the tension on the lead/leash) and I don't know about your cat, but mine likes to be able to see EVERYTHING when she is out and about, so when she's in this and I unzip the front to allow her to see better, she cannot move to the other side to see what is going on (she obviously can turn her head) but my cat likes to be able to move and sit right by the action and with the lead/leash NOT BEING PLACED IN THE CENTER, and only in the corner; this was highly disappointing.** TIP **If you purchase this item, when you're ready to put the back netting back into its place within the backpack flap; don't just try to fold it and put it in, this makes zippering and unzippering a nightmare and limits the room for the cat-- I LEARNED that the way it was originally placed in there, was by rotating it. When rotating the mesh, it follows itself and easily goes back into the backpack space.

It’s a little smaller than the rectangular versions available but super nice quality construction and love the way the front opens. Perfect for my 15lb dog.

Our ferrets adore this carrier. They choose to sleep in it when they want a nap during playtime.
