Incredible results
Last year was my first experience with PittMoss and I was incredibly impressed. I only filled pots with a mixture of half PittMoss, half regular potting soil but the plants in the pots I used PittMoss grew much bigger and better than plants in pots with just regular potting soil. Great stuff!

Worth the try!
Saw this product on shark tank and was looking for something to mix with our heavy garden soil so we gave it a shot. I tested out some fresh zinnia seeds and transplanted mini roses (mid September). Not only did the roses instantly start blooming more than before but the zinnias are still blooming.I also used it to mix into ground plants when planting and in pots. Recommend!

I was disappointed that gnats were attracted by the bag. I find another use for it though.
I wanted something to use on indoor plants. I kept the unopened bag inside the house for future use on future indoor potted plants. I started noticing something flying around the bag. Although I don't believe they came from the product, the fact they were attracted to it makes me not want to use it should I decide to repot anything for indoors.

Recycled paper with ink
I found this brand while searching potting soil that is tested for heavy metals because I live in an apartment and want to grow herbs, greens and potatoes that are not contaminated with heavy metals and forever chemicals. This brand boasts about being non-toxic with no harmful chemicals. Now that's bull! There is no way this INKED recycled paper does not have forever chemicals. I am so frustrated. I do not have the money to be wasting on false advertisement. Now what do I do? I do not want to be feeding forever chemicals to my children.

Pitt moss absorbs water.. does not repel water like peat moss does
Love Pitt Moss..will mix with soil in my container tomato plants..will also use as a top dressing when planting grass on my lawn..Pitt moss absorbs water ..unlike peat moss that repels water...also Pitt moss is a renewable resource..made from recycled materials

I am happy with the product as of now
Saw the product on Shark Tank. Before buying this one, I bought a potting mix from Costco. After few days of using the Costco potting mix product for my houseplants, my house was filled with fungus gnats. I had to take an action quickly. Hence I ordered PittMoss from Amazon. Since this product is made from newspapers, I was sure that this product would not have any bugs. I replaced all pot's soil with PittMoss Performance. I am happy with the product as of now.

Reduce use of peat moss
PittMoss is a great alternative to peat moss.

Nope, Not the same
The media could not be loaded. I am so disappointed with my experience with PittMoss.I bought a bag from Amazon (PittMoss Performance PE2C 2 Cubic Feet Organic Potting Mix) and did my own comparison to another common popular seed starting mix (Miracle Grow seed starting mix) and the performance was awful.Everything I did was the same for each and the PittMoss seedlings growth stalled and are turning a bronzy light green and are dwarfed compared to the other brand. Which are doing so well they need to be transplanted.I am all on board for using less peat, but there must be some trick to getting this to perform comparably to standard seed starting mixes.(In the picture with 3 trays the center tray is a mix of 50/50 miracle grow mix PittMoss mix. It is just as stunted as the 100% PittMoss on the right, the left tray is 100% Miracle grow.
