I was hoping for an easy alternative to buying and lugging home Hot Wood boxes from the local store. This is NOT it. 6 scrawny short stick of wood. Most of the volume in the box was just shredded cardboard. This is a rip-off! Do not waste your money.

Wood arrived in a damp box which when opened was just wet wood logs with no type of plastic protection for the elements when shipping. Did come with firestarters that are useless when dealing with wet logs. Shortly after wood developed mold on the logs. Seems like a good deal around $1 a pound of wood but ended up being useless. Had better luck just venturing out to our home Depot to get dry, ready to burn firewood. Should have read the reviews on this one... Oh well -_-

Our heater is not efficient, so we rely on our fireplace insert to keep us warm. This wood is terrible! I even used the fire starter that comes with the logs, and even that does not stay lit. I buy better wood at the grocery store. I was trying to save a little money and thought this was a good deal, but if it doesn't burn well, I have to keep adding paper to get it to burn. Junk! You're lucky this gets two stars, only because it finally burned with adding some better wood to the fire. I think the wood may not be fully dried.

There were a few things wrong with this firewood… when I open the box the wood smell was pretty strong and I don’t think it is properly seasoned. I could be wrong about that, but I’m going to use it for fires next season and not use it this season just in case. Also, and this is really upsetting to me, there were many small pieces of firewood and no thick pieces that burn for a substantial amount of time. Those small thin pieces burn up immediately and don’t last enough time. I wish this company would make up its weight in large pieces.

It is firewood but does not match the product description. For example, below are some of what the seller advertises:"{ Easy To Carry } Packaged tightly in a box to make carrying your firewood logs to your campsite or into your home a breeze. Enjoy a cozy fire with friends or family, without having to go outside on a cold day to grab extra wood! " - Not! The wood is not packed tightly in a box to make it easy to carry. The box is actually almost 2x the size of the 50 lbs of wood I purchased."{ Perfect Size } Each fire log is cut to the perfect length for multiple use types! Our sizes are cut to fit in most standard firewood storage bins. fireplaces, stones, fire pits and more! Hardwood is known to last longer when compared to Silver Birch Wood, Softwood Pine, Ash Logs or Alder Wood." - Not! The wood is not cut into the 3"x4"x18" splits shown in the pictures. Some of the logs are more like 6"x4"x18"ish, and at least two of the logs are small and thin like 4"x1/2"x14".Also, some of the wood is rather decomposed as if it had been sitting outside in a wood pile for a season or two (the picture shows two of the pieces).Be forewarned! The seller makes you pay the return UPS shipping costs. It is about same cost to pay to return the product as it is to just keep it and learn to never purchase from the seller again.

The fire wood we received was not dry! and smoked a lot while burning!! I will not buy anymore of this wood.
