Bought this book due to inflation we are in. Just want to be prepared. Who knows what we will be facing. The book is a easy read.

Complete guide?
I don’t think this is a complete guide for beginners. I think it has a lot of information in it and the pictures are nice but would be much better in color. It offers a few recipes that sound good.

Lame Guide
I want a refund! No color pictures!!! Unacceptable! The information is lacking. It lists Ivy Leaf (English Ivy) as being used as a "natural remedy;" that's all it says - without mentioning that it is NOT edible! Even for beginners - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Good book but not for beginners
This is an ok leaning towards good book but it would be so much better if the photos of the plants were in color. If you actually want to identify edible plants, color photos are much more helpful than black and white photos. The section on edible flowers is also confusing since there isn't much of a description of the flowers themselves or directions on how to cook them. There are no references to the recipes in the back of the book either. We also found several contradictions that should have been caught in editing. The book is titled as for beginners but assumes the reader already understands a lot of terminology.
