Thick, strong, fast set, weather proof, easy to use
Terrific product, thick, viscous, won’t easily run on a bit of any angle, set up fast, holds really well.It has terrific adhesive properties on properly prepared hard plastic like the back of a bumper, it was so thick it didn’t leak through the crack in the bumper and it set up fast.Someone hit the trim under my rear bumper, probably with a trailer hitch and split the trim piece in two. It was simple, low level cosmetic damage, nothing serious. But I didn’t want the crack to enlarge so a repair was in order.Insurance was out, that’s like stealing from myself because whatever the repair costs, I’ll pay in increased premiums plus the deductible. I carefully lined up the split plastic trim and then got behind the bumper, cleaned it with VMP Naptha and sanded the plastic with 150 grit paperand cleaned with VMP Naptha again.I have stainless steel mesh on hand and cut a couple of 2x2 inch pieces. I mixed up the J-B Weld and embedded the mesh in a thick coat of the epoxy and placed it over the crack in 2 places on the back side of the bumper. The photos show the original damage up close, the wider shot shows the “fix” and the other photo shows the inside of the back of the bumper. The crack in the bumper is still visible but it’s hard to see unless you’re looking for it and it won’t enlarge due to the J-B weld “fix”. I plan to add one coat of the J-B Weld from behind after the first batch sets up overnight. Great product!

Extremely Secure
I was looking for cheap products to secure the wheel of my car. I hit a curb, definitely my fault, and the rim portion of the wheel was so damaged that it was severely cracked and began to deform the tire around it. Now, admittedly, I should have just gotten a new wheel. However, this happened 2 days before I took a major road trip, and there was no time. This stuff held up on my wheel for 10,000 miles over the course of a month, driving on asphalt/tarmac, dirt, and gravel, at low speeds, high speeds, etc. Zero issue, held perfectly. I am extremely impressed. I would highly recommend this product for any metal adhesion needs.

Top grade epoxy
There are many 2-component epoxies that will get hard. JB Weld gets even harder, but more than that, it is easy to apply and work with when it is fresh-mixed, much more that others that I have used. I use this stuff constantly and it has never failed me yet, even extreme uses. Example: my electronic toothbrush worked well, but the rubber push-button switch quit working.Opened it up, and the little "finger" of plastic that pushed down on the switch button on the small circuit board broke, so when I pushed the rubber button it didn't make contact. A tiny dab of JB size of a pin head on the circuit board button hardened enough so that when I push it makes contact again. Crazy.Broke the side-view mirror on my car, cracked part of the black plastic housing. The motor still worked, but there was a gaping hole in the housing. I smoothed in a large gob of JB and you can't tell anything was missing. Next day I painted it with black caliper paint and you can't tell the difference. That is how smooth you can work this epoxy. Great stuff, use it for repairs. Never failed yet.

Need to give appropriate time to dry
Works well. Must mix parts. Takes time to dry

Good stuff!
JB Weld is good stuff! My boy bought a used truck bed tool box but it was not the perfect fit for his truck. We had to make some modifications and we used this to glue the pieces back together. So far it's holding up to regular use.

JB Weld deserves a Nobel prize
I have used this product over many years for all sorts of projects. I own both a MIG and a TIG welder, but will still often just mix up some of this insteas. Most recently to fix rust on my old tractor deck. Experience has shown me that it will likely outlast the deck. Nice big tubes for larger projects. The inventor of JB Wekd deserves a Nobel prize.
