Q: Why does it say not to use milk products? I bought it for hot chocolate...now I'm not sure if I should or if it will work

Where does it say not to use milk products? I just purchased and used this at a cocoa party and the homemade hot cocoa (with real milk and cream) stayed fresh, hot and delicious for 5 or more hours. Clean up is easy because the lid comes off and the pump can be thoroughly rinsed out. I would have no hesitation using this for any hot or cold beverage - with or without milk. Obviously, you would not want to "store" milk products in it for any extended period of time - it is not a refrigerator!

Q: Can I brew coffee at home and transport it to a location. Also, how long will it stay hot?

You can definitely brew coffee at home and transport it in the VonShef Airpot. If you fill the Airpot with boiling water and let it sit while you brew the coffee, empty the water from the Airpot and put your freshly brewed coffee into the Airpot, it should stay hot for at least 12 hours. I've done this with an evening activity and found that my coffee was still warm 14 hours later (the next morning). There is a 'close' setting on the dispenser top, and if you set that to 'close' and keep your Airpot vertical during transport, there is no problem transporting your coffee to your destination.

Q: Is the exterior of the pot, magnetic? I would like to put magnetic labels on the pots.

No, the outside of the pot is not magnetic. This is a very good airpot, and keeps coffee hot for many hours.
