watery texture, contains lotus water & extracts, hyaluronic acid, made in Korea
This Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Calming toner comes in a transparent, colorless plastic bottle, and the toner itself also colorless and transparent, with a consistency like water. It absorbs almost instantly. It is dispensed by shaking it out of an opening. It is a hydrating, non-astringent toner, meant to be used as a first light layer of hydration before applying serums and creams. The main ingredient is lotus water and lotus extracts, which have lots of antioxidants and have a soothing effect on skin. It also contains several types of sodium hyaluronate for moisture retention.Juniperus Mexicana oil (aka Texas cedarwood) is also in the ingredients list. Botanical essential oils typically have fragrant floral compounds, and those can potentially irritate sensitive skin. However, the scent is mild to undetectable in this toner, so if you have sensitive skin, this may not irritate it. Patch testing is always recommended to be sure, though, if you have easily irritated skin and are trying out or introducing a product into your skincare routine. It's made in Korea. The bottom of the bottle is clearly marked with the expiration date, and the full ingredients are printed in both English and Korean on the bottle. The ingredients are:Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Water(392,000ppm), Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Betaine, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Root Extract, Glyceryl Glucoside, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol, Glucose, Allantoin, Juniperus Mexicana oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyl Trimonium Hyaluronate, Cynanchum Atratum extract, Magnolia Kobus Bark Extract, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Potassium Hyaluronate, C12-14 pareth-12, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Citrate

Hydrating Toner, Removes Residual Grime & Helps Pores-Passing Irritation Likely Allergy Related
This Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Calming Toner feels hydrating to my mature, dry, sensitive skin. It has skin conditioning ingredients, such as multiple types of sodium hyaluronate, and it doesn’t have alcohol or other drying ingredients. I do notice slight warming and light stinging at times, but it passes and my skin feels refreshed and comfortable. I may have a slight allergy (most likely an extract) to something that relates to my year round pollen allergies.Rovectin makes my skin feel more moisturized than most toners, but I do use use a couple I find more comforting. This toner is a slightly viscous liquid (not gel) I pour on a soft cotton round and that gently wipe my face with after cleansing. It leaves a slight sticky film, but it gets subsumed by products I apply post-toner. The toner removes any residual makeup or grime missed during cleansing and helps minimize the appearance of problem pores in my nose. While this toner does add some moisture, it’s not a replacement for a serum for me as I use serums that target special concerns, such as vitamin C for dark spots. So I still follow with an essence as it gives me even more moisture and then apply my serum and finally my eye and face creams. This doesn’t have chemical fragrance but has just a subtle scent that’s pleasant. Like it. 4 stars. All ingredients: Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Water(392,000ppm), Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Betaine, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract, Nelumbonucifera Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Root Extract, Glyceryl Glucoside, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol, Glucose, Allantoin, Juniperus Mexicana oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyl Trimonium Hyaluronate, Cynanchum Atratumextract, Magnolia Kobus Bark Extract, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Potassium Hyaluronate, C12-14 pareth-12, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Citrate

Suitable for Sensitive, Combo Skin; Not Greasy, Nearly Odorless
This watery toner from Rovectin is primarily made up of lotus water (~40%) for calming and hydration and comes in a no-frills 6.7oz plastic pour spout bottle for $22 as of this writing. Fairly priced considering the first ingredient is the lotus water, not plain jane water and six other humectants before the highlighted ingredient. It is loaded with several humectants but is also oil-free, astringent-free, exfoliant-free, and properly pH'ed. Can be used AM and PM and pairs well with my other skincare. This toner water isn't heavy, greasy, sticky, tacky, or unpleasant to use. Hasn't caused any patchiness, flaking, or pilling of other products either. I have sensitive, combination, Rosacea-prone skin and I personally am not a fan of added fragrances. This Rovectin Clean Lotus Water toner is nearly odorless, which is awesome, essentially water, but enhanced with various skin-friendly elements that do enhance moisture retention. Because it has various forms of hyaluronic acid (and similar humectants), I highly recommend you cleanse, tone, and follow up with a good moisturizer. Yes, even if you have oily skin. Doesn't have to be thick or expensive. This toner is designed to boost the benefits of said moisturizer to create and maintain a healthy hydration level. This, in turn, helps lessen the overproduction of sebum and heal compromised lipid barriers. Read up on how HA works and what trans-epidermal water loss is.Overall, I am extremely pleased with the use and quality of this mild, effective toner. Works extremely well for my sensitive skin needs. No rashes, flares, redness, or new breakouts with regular use.

Soothing and great for the first step of skin routines after washing your face.
First of all, I have an oily combination skin that could be rather sensitive depending on my cycle.I have about 10-15 toners at any given date so that I can pick and use the toner to fit my particular focus at the time (peeling, extra cleaning, soothing, hydraing, calming, etc..).So for this one, I am using it as the 1st or 2nd step toner to use after washing my face. (after peeling or extra cleansing toner but before hydrating skin).I liked that it doesn’t have any discernible, overpowering fragrance as I am so sensitive to smell and never like scented skin care products. So that was a good first impression as soon as I opened the bottle. Now I feel this toner leaves you a smooth kind of creamy (?) skin afterwards. Not sure my picture can show you that, but it was taken 10 secs after wiping my hands with toner twice. To test hydration, I didn’t put anything else after wiping my face with this toner for about 30 mins, and I didn’t feel too much dryness except around my lips (which is my usual dry area). But of course, I would recommend you follow skin/lotion/cream routines. When I tested this toner, my skin was going through a sensitive period, but it didn’t irritate me at all.Still, not sure how it would workout for much drier skin but it is such a great first step toner for all skin types in my opinion.Overall, considering cost vs benefits, this toner is one of better toners compared to ones around $ 10-15 for the same size for sure. In that, it is a well balanced product between cost and quality I believe. The bottom line, if you have to have one toner to use everyday, this could be a good one to use after washing your face :)

Perhaps too moisturizing for me.
(3.5 stars) I don't like toners that leave my skin feeling tacky or sticky or filmy. I like for the skin to feel fresh and clean after use. Unfortunately, most of the toners I've been trying out lately do the former, and not the latter. This one is a case in point. It leaves the skin with a bit of an oily feel to it.The ingredients seem okay. Lots of natural ones with the usual synthetic ones interspersed in the list. The big draw of this particular toner is the lotus water, I suppose. Apparently it's soothing and calming. My skin doesn't necessarily need calming. (That would be my brain/psyche that does and I can't figure out how to use this to calm that.)I find it a little pricey for what it does for me. I can get a nicer clean feel to my skin with witch hazel that I've mixed a few drops of tea tree oil into.
