Great ice fishing combo from 13 fishing.
The price is super for this combo. Reel and rod work very well together. Spooled mine with 4lb test braided line. Love the lock twist handle on the rod. Very secure.Highly recommended.

Nice rod for ice fishing
This is a nice rod for ice fishing. The reel works smoothly. Spool it with 3 to 4 pound test, and you're good to go. The rod has a good level of sensitivity. 13 Fishing seems to be an up and coming brand. All things considered, I am happy with this rod/reel combo.

Possibly a defect
Nice rod reel combo, only issue was the rod blank seemed to have a rattle to it upon delivery but works fine

The rod seems strong enough. The reel is pretty solid for the price point, thus the two stars. Mine came with an improperly mounted guide (second one down). When I received it it was at a 45 degree angle from all the others. A simple push on it straightened it. That's because it is loose and not fully secured. It is either a defect or damaged before shipment.This would not be from shipping damage as the box did not have a mark on it, and it was very securely packed. It is disappointing because I didn't buy the cheapest option, or the most expensive. FedEx shipping was delayed and took too long, so I am not going through the hassle and I will just live with it. I ended up using epoxy to re-attach the guide properly. It is mostly usable as it is and I just will not buy or recommend this set-up to anyone. A simple QC check would have figured this out, but it seems no one bothers anymore...
