Johari West Hawaiian Short Sleeve Cotton Button-Down Batik Shirt for Men

I should warn that this is tightly within specs for me. It's a HI shirt, so don't expect to tuck it in. And honestly I think I got lucky on size. If you have a gut, go one up. Believe me, I wish someone who doesn't get these free from Amazon had told me exactly this. Please help me put an end to these freeloaders who are giving inaccurate product reviews through their vine program. They are poisoning all of the product reviews you know and trust. Personally, I worked a ten hour day today. These professional reviewers stayed home to get free products you and I pay for. Thank you.

I now have six of these shirts, but in different colors. While I like Hawaiian shirts, I am at that age where you see too many retired looking guys walking around in hibiscus and plumeria combos. While those shirts do look nice, I like something a bit different and not so "look at me I'm retired and wish I lived in Hawaii". These shirts are unique and I have been complimented on them. The material is comfortable and seems durable. I have washed and dried them a few times and have not seen any color loss.I had some older shirts that I hated to part with, but they were looking a bit long in the tooth and starting to fall apart, so it was necessary to replace them. These fit the bill nicely.I was NOT given these shirts as a discount and paid full pop. You really do have my honest and BIASED opinion. Cheers

I love this shirt! This is not the shirt to wear if you don't want to be noticed. The colors are vibrant. This shirt is truly art. The material is strong but comfortable. The design is unique. I was a bit worried about the colors bleeding given how vibrant they are and the fact that they are hand made. But there was absolutely no bleeding on the first wash. Nor did the shirt require ironing out of the drier. My only caveat is that it is somewhat on the smaller side of XL. It does fit well, but just not as loose as some of my other XL's. So, if you are near the size limits, go for the larger size.

I don't actually like "Hawaiian" shirts. By that I mean shirts with purdy flowers and hula girls with thier pineapples (!) and such. I'm not "Magnum PI!" I don't think of these as "Hawaiian Shirts" however. To me, they are like those "tribal"tattoo designs. These are great for going out during those hot, hot summer evenings. Or being a little more dressed up at a Saturday pool party, without looking like a cheesy "hey baby I went to Hawaii"old guy. You can be cool, without looking like you are trying too hard. One mini-quibble: the color of 'lake' was a little bit greenish, (like a lake) I was expecting more sky-blue. It still looks cool (like a lake), anyway. The fit and design of these shirts is always perfect. I have 14. You cannot go wrong with Johari West. I didn't get a free shirt or anything to say nice things about Johari West. I'm just an old retired guy who knows how to dress well.

Absolutely fantastic. The cotton is a peculiar one, I've never felt this type of cotton before. its smooth and crisp and feels very nice on the skin.The color is deep, the black contrast is engaging and overall I'm very happy. The shirt is a bit large, but in the heat this is perfect and recommended for air flow.I will definitely buy another shirt and different color in the near future.

The size system is not for Americans or at least big Americans. Apparently the manufacturer doesn't understand who their client base is. I had ordered these shirts for a vacation i had overseas. I had them shipped to my hotel because i could not be at home to receive them. I receive the shirts and I find they are too small. At least two sizes too small but I'm not sure as I would have to try a few sizes to figure out my size. I was really angry about this experience but what can I do?So not only do they not fit but then quality of the material is not very good. Its cheap and faded looking and it doesn't have the "pop" that you see here in Amazon. This was a complete waste of money as I am not able to return and i bought a few of these shirts. Maybe I could cut them up and use them as drapes. So while on vacation, I found a couple of local tailors who were able to make similar shirts for about half the price of this shirt and deliver to me in 2 days but I will NEVER buy from this brand again...

Cool shirt but runs a little small. Suggest getting one size bigger. I am 6', 265 lbs. 46" chest and 53" belly. Usually can fit into a 3XL. This oneis ok, but snug when I sit down. But a nice shirt.

I went by other reviews and took a chance on this shirt. I ordered the purple and the color is bright and amazing. I weigh 140 lbs. and got a small and this shirt fits perfectly. I hope the reviews about washing/shrinking are true as well. Some reviewers said they bought a second and I am already thinking about another. It will look great with some black pants I got for Father's Day.

I bought my husband the Geometric Forest Tropical Hawaiian Cotton Shirt - Sand colour. It is absolutely a beautiful, high-quality shirt. My husband says it has the very fine (close to the edge) stitching that he looks for, high-quality buttons and finishing of every detail is exemplary. The batik fabric definitely needs to be colour-fasted (first wash with 1 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup table salt). I will only use the hand-wash cycle and hang dry (label says it can go on low tumble dry - but I prefer hang drying to double the life). Husband says it's one of the best quality shirts he's ever had. : )

It seems so water down colors and it doesn't last long when washing them, did put on the cold settings to keep it lasting longer with colors but colors seem to fade after 2 washes cycle.
