Just for your reading pleasure
One of the best m/m stories to read if you have never read a m/m storyMs. Hauser can tell a story that will have you checking out what else she has written. This was the first one I had read and I was hookedThis story captured what I would believe what most gay men would go through when they are afraid to come out. That said it is a wonderful story

Got Men? A Unique Premise that Delivers
A reality show without obvious gotchas, it's a conundrum for the six men who agree to sequester themselves under the watchful, intrusive eyes and ears of a rabid viewing audience. The characters are varied, interesting and not at all cliched although there were the typical archetypes - guys I could love, guys I wanted to hate. As time goes on, and the secret agenda of the producer(s) reveals itself, the men must come to terms with not just being under a microscope but also how that spotlight reveals secrets, secrets that can have dire consequences for families and futures. This is a large cast handled with aplomb. The author gives us credible motivations, realistic responses and a really good feel for the internal struggle of each of the main characters. It's unique. It's a page-turner (had me up half the night reading). And the ending didn't tie itself into a tidy little bow but it was fully satisfying.

This should be a TV show!!!!
This should be a TV SHOW...seriously!!! The premise is wonderful. It would do awesome on Showtime or HBO. It would be amazing to see a house full of closeted gay men fighting with their own demons and slowly losing the battle of love&lust to each other. Watching them come to the realization that love is what is important and not what other people think.I loved how it was set up as a reality show...it truly is soooo doable as a TV Show...someone in charge of these things should pick it up! Sighing...please! LOLOLSo until the TV show happens, the book is more than enough to hold you over!

Much Better
I really been disappointed with some of G.A. Hauser books lately, but this is one of her best books. I had a giggle or two over some of the situations with the men. All in all a pretty good read.

Romance + reality television = fun
4.5 out of 5There are a couple of things that I feel almost guaranteed of when I pick up a novel by G.A. Hauser, and that is a mixture of fun and a little something to think about. Oh, and beautiful men, of course. The latest of her novels that I have had the pleasure of reading, Got Men?, which is set in the over-the-top and alien world of reality television, definitely lives up to the standard. This one is quick and entertaining, and it documents the dilemma that one young man faces regarding the possible negative repercussions of revealing his sexual preference.I'm not a watcher of reality television, but I've accidentally witnessed bits and pieces of various shows. The goal seems to be shock factor and the utter spectacle of the whole thing, so the show Got Men? definitely seems like something that might be cooked up by a producer out there somewhere. I'm not going to say it is realistic, because let's admit it... the "reality" of reality television is about as far from real as one can possibly get. The six young men in this novel who start off so foolishly confident end up being sacrificial lambs on the altar of the entertainment industry in Got Men?, and I found myself feeling sorry for them even as I enjoyed their story.Once issue that came to my mind as I read Got Men? is the difference that exists between various parts of the nation when it comes to acceptance of nontraditional sexuality. Sure, "wouldn't it be nice" if there were no negative repercussions to the men being outed like this, but we know that's not the way the real world works. Also, there is voluntarily coming out, and then there is forcible outing. The producers in this story swear that by creating this show they are offering positive role models to young gay men who are coming out. But are they, really? As I read, I saw a cold calculation under the surface veneer of concern; the real objective is merely the bottom line: money and ratings. In this novel, Ms. Hauser gives us an entire crew of young men to love. Along with none of them being "out of the closet," they each have their individual issues that make participating in this show difficult for them. Conrad, the main character, is the biggest, prettiest, most macho of the entire lot, yet he is also the most vulnerable and afraid.Of course, this novel is not all about feeling sorry for the beleaguered participants. There is plenty of humor to be found, and Tony and Kelvin provide the main sources of comic relief. Tony's bluff and posturing might be annoying to his housemates, but it is also quite amusing. And Kelvin's almost incapacitating joy at meeting Mark Richfield is not only funny but also is so cute that I just wanted to pinch him on the cheek. The cheek on his face, people...get your minds out of the gutter!Since this is G.A. Hauser's universe, we get to see characters hopping between stories. I enjoyed seeing Tony from Leather Boys as well as Alfonso from Exposure featured in Got Men? Even though they are not main characters, they finally get their stories told. Other characters readers may have met before are the producers, Will and Charlotte. While I can't say that I actually liked either one of them, they are each very strong personalities.Overall, I found Got Men? to be very entertaining and a lot of fun even as I fumed against what felt like an injustice being served to the housemates. It was also addicting enough for me to not want to put it down. So I didn't; I gobbled it all up in one long sitting. And as always, it left me looking forward to the next of Ms. Hauser's novels.

Magic and mayhem..
Another FANTASTIC READ... Conrad story..Loved it, totally FUNNY story which Conrad gets more than he's bargained for. Entering a house that's totally wired to the internet with 5 other males. Just a recipe for entertaining results, especially if Miss Charlotte Devers has anything to do with it. This one has definitely made my to be re-read list.. I'm wondering if Charlotte is Miss Hauser in these books..lol.
