Tons of appreciation, for a lighter-weight treasure
This miniature anvil is a serious tool, despite the fact that it's quite small and weighs only one pound. I use it for some serious thwacking of small items. I like that it's in my kitchen "junk" drawer, because it has so many uses. Just remember...This anvil has been generously greased to protect the metal/finish. I gave it a scrub with some stainless-steel powdered cleanser, and let it soak awhile (ten minutes) in hot water with a little Dawn and Cascade, to get all the grease completely removed.Get it for a guy or a gal who knows how to use a lightweight hammer, and you'll be ever so glad you did!

this is a joke
described as a blacksmith's anvil and being only 1 lb that is a joke

Cute Little Anvil, Useful for Lots of Benchtop Work
This is the first I've seen one of these miniature anvils. It certainly isn't going to be useful for forging knives or swords, but there are a surprising amount of fine mechanical repairs that can benefit from something like this. I ordered it to use for vintage camera repair - a lot of old cameras have very fine solid rivets that are a challenge to peen down on a regular workbench, but should be a lot easier to deal with using this to back up the parts you're working on.A search reveals a lot of sellers offering what appears to be the same anvil, and this one is on the middle to lower end of price. If you do crafting, jewelery work, or any fine mechanical repairs, one of these is handy to have around. Just be sure to check the dimensions and be certain that this is what you're after before ordering.

small yet functional
I knew that this would be small. and according to their description and their diagram, it lives up to what they say it is. It's still good for small projects. I have no complaints, even though it came in blue and the ad said it was going to be black. Oh well.. no worries.

Excellent
This is a great tool for very small work. It has a machined top which I measured as level.
