Great book. great author. Lots of info and recipes to get you on your way!

This is a book that everybody who wants to make shaving soap should have, very easy to understand and a lot of information to guide you through the process. I recommend it already to all my Soaper friends.

Picked this up because I enjoy wets having and enjoy Soap Commander products. This book provides a great resource for anyone that might be considering trying their hand at soap making. It provides a solid starting point and also includes some great resources for those who would want to delve deeper into the world or artisan soap making. Glad that I picked this book up.

I have never made shaving soap using this method, so this is new for me. I have made cold processed bars before and I really like them, but this is just another new way to try making soap. The book is easy to read and though smaller, it has information to help the newbie as well as seasoned soapers. I like the ideas for recipes provided and I believe this will be a good addition to my soap-making library.

I was expecting a lot more. This book is very lightweight; it only has about 60 pages, and those are double-spaced and include blank space to take notes. It would have been more appropriate as a chapter in some other soap-making book. I had already found all that information on YouTube before buying the book, which I thought would be a deep-dive.

This is a wonderful introduction to the world of making shaving soap. You won't be an expert on making shaving soap after reading this book but you'll certainly gain valuable insight. It's written by one of the most respected soap makers in the artisan soap making community. If you're interested in learning how to make shaving soap this must read.

Lots of good information not often found in book form. I’ve used her shaving soaps and they are excellent.

Este libro te da información valiosa para entender qué se necesita para hacer un jabón de afeitado de calidad. Explica los ingredientes necesarios y el método para fabricar el jabón. Hay varias recetas de ejemplo. Es un libro corto pero con la información necesaria para empezar. Me gustaría que hubiese fotos del proceso aparte de las explicaciones escritas pero no es así, hay que ver videos en internet para entender todo, aunque no he encontrado ningún vídeo de la autora. En cuanto a la edición es muy básica y parecen fotocopias, pero por otra parte se pueden hacer anotaciones en el mismo libro.

Probably the only book focusing on shaving soaps. Really helpful and a great step to introduce someone to artisan shaving soap production.

Die Autorin empfiehlt, dass erst praktische Erfahrungen mit dem Kaltverseifungsprozess von Handseifen gemacht werden sollten, bevor man die zwei hier vorgestellten (Heiß-) Verseifungs-Techniken anwendet, allein schon aus Sicherheitsgründen. Der Inhalt ist zwar auf das notwendige Maß reduziert, allerdings absolut ausreichend, und vollständig. Sehr gut finde ich, dass dieses kleine, spottbillige Büchlein viele Sicherheitshinweise, insgesamt 11 Rezepte und eine Troubleshooting-Liste enthält. Fazit: Alles in allem, eher nichts für blutige Anfänger (obwohl das keine Raketenwissenschaft ist) genau auf den Punkt gebracht und sehr empfehlenswert! 5 Sterne!

Molto interessante

I enjoyed this book but I am someone who likes pictures to go along any recipe book. This book doesn't have much visual... I was also looking to learn something new but I didn't. I guess it's great for someone new at making shaving soap.
