You get what you paid for
This is an exact replica of a hair iron I bought from China but this one has half of its quality. The sides of the iron itself (plastic part) is rough so I had to file it using a nail file cause it felt like it was eating my hair. The temperature is definitely hot and turns off automatically if it gets hotter than the max temperature. I've been using it for a while and there's this burnt smell that it gives off but it's not from the wiring. I think it's from the material that it's made of. Overall it's cheap and tolerable. Does what it's supposed to do.
