Is cable pinout the same as stock ov2640 on esp32-cam? i'm not getting an image by simply swapping it out. either not working or pins are different.

It was the same for me, direct swap worked just fine. Maybe check your ribbon cable?

Does this lens have an ir filter? the images that i've captured suggest that it does not.

XIAO ESP32S3 (Sense)カメラ部分の交換に使用

XIAO ESP32S3 (Sense)のカメラの画角が狭かったので、広角レンズに交換できないかと挑戦。ソースコードも変更することなく使用できた。ただしカメラのイメージセンサ部とレンズ部の接着が甘いので、取り扱いには気を付けるか追加で接着してあげるといいかも。
