KOYAH - Organic Raspberry Powder 30 Servings (1 Scoop = 15 Raspberries), Freeze-Dried, Whole-Berry Powder, Equivalent to 450 Raspberries

I do a lot of chocolate-truffle-making experiments. I tried this expensive freeze-dried raspberry powder and WOW is it a game-changer. The cheaper NPG stuff I used before was inadequate, sweet and pale; I had to combine it with fresh-frozen raspberries I juiced myself. But the Koyah can be used on its own, which makes everything much easier. 2.5x more expensive but 10x more delicious, so totally worth it.

This is a neat little product. It's expensive, so I use it sparingly, but then again, a little goes a long way. It makes a wonderful mousse/whipped cream: whip some heavy cream together with some of this and some white sugar until the desired consistency is reached. (I forget the best ratios, but they're not difficult to figure out.) The product may clump with exposure to humidity -- the fruit granules start to absorb water. So be sure to pass it through a sieve or sifter if you see clumps. The best thing about this product, was that I used it as a part of my engagement dinner. I prepared a chocolate mousse layered with raspberry mousse (see above), and served it to my then girlfriend. Her dessert had a tiny box with a note inside buried at the bottom. She loved the dessert, but better yet, she said yes!

I absolutely love love love the Koyah products! I travel a lot for work and have to drink my daily anti-inflammatory smoothie, and now i don't have to travel with a blender. The raspberry powder dissolves beautifully and tastes great. Seriously, I did that thing we all did as kids with the koolaid powder and ate it by it self off my finger. So yummy! (following is also posted on the broccoli review cause I use both for my smoothie) I have a serious medical condition that causes high ANA levels and it results in high levels of inflammation, which means serious body aches. Sometimes these aches were so debilitating that I literally couldn't get out of bed for days. Needless to say it sucks. I have to drink a daily smoothie to keep my inflammation down (better than pills right?) and the Koyah powers have been a total game changer! I have given the below recipe to several people and it has helped with rosecea, joint pain and overall energy. I would highly recommend it to everyone! This freeze-dried organic raspberry powder is both delicious and nutritious. I like to add it to plain yogurt, and it’s just the right flavor and consistency for me. I like that it’s organic, plus it's easy to spoon onto yogurt and cereal, with no spills so far. The taste is just perfect, the right amount of raspberry flavor. It does not cake like some freeze-dried products do. I enjoy it, and plan on buying more.

This is good if you plan to mix it in smoothies, milkshakes, yogurt, ice cream, pastry. Its not good mixing it with water.
