This is such a beautiful knife, was vary happy with it but, if you get one this knife is very sharp it will cut you butter so be cautious when handling!

I thought this could become my new chef's knife. But alas, it is not as sharp as described. I used it to cut medium well roast beef into smaller pieces. The knife cut, but not as easily as my old chef's knife that needs sharpening. I am very disappointed. The knife looks pretty and is beautifully packaged. But the cutting is less than expected.

So many knives competing in this price range and type of use. This is very sharp, very solid and feels nice to hold.I use this knife most often. The amount of high carbon is noticeable. Cutting vegetables is easy, and the blade and weight make quick work..It's so nice, I am going to buy this one again as presents, it comes beautifully boxed.
