Bought it because the information indicates you can LOCK the cord. Well, you might be able to do that if the lock WORKED. Mine didn't. Can't lock the cord at all. The lock button moves, but it does not lock the cord. For the cost of this item, it's really cheaply made and not worth the money. If it weren't such a hassle to send it back, I'd return it. Just going to toss it in a parts box and maybe find use for it another day. Won't be buying T-Reign products in the future. Using Xtreme Duty Scuba in the name of this item is a real joke.

This broke after 1 dive! The ring rusted immediately and it stopped retracting after ONE ocean dive! Returned.

I'm giving it 5 stars even though I'm not a fan of eth velcro for my needs. That's more of a personal preference, so it's not worth a negative on the product. That being said, I did then get the one with the rotating clip (https://amzn.to/2VdQLy0) and found that it fit my needs better.The attachment method is good, and won't come undone on you. I have full faith in this keeping the gear attached to me.I haven't put this thing through its paces to see how strong it is, but it seems solidly constructed.

Has worked great up until now. The wire has frayed and I am unable to use this. It’s become a hazard! Would be nice if you could get replacement parts. I really love this.

Worked great to reign in my wonky BC inflator hose that likes to wander off like a toddler. The stainless steel wire has held up to the ocean without rusting. I'll definitely buy more in the future.
