Brilliant wok cookbook with a huge variety of dishes, from vegetable stir fries to seafood starters and beef mains. Great variety of delicious Asian recipes - a healthier alternative to takeaways.
This book offers a great variety of Asian recipes as well as helpful tips and techniques for cooking using a wok. The recipes are quick and easy to follow - the ones we have tried have all been delicious and full of flavour. I really like the fact the recipes are healthier than takeaways. I’m looking forward to trying more recipes over the coming months! It’s just a shame there are no pictures.

Easy stir-fry recipes
I've always loved stir-fry dishes but never thought I could make restaurant-quality dishes at home until I got this book! This cookbook makes wok cooking approachable, even for beginners. The step-by-step instructions are clear, and I love how the recipes use easy-to-find ingredients without compromising on flavour. There's an excellent combination of old-fashioned and creative dishes and all the recipes take less than 30 minutes to prepare. And the tips on how to season things and maximize a wok were worth their weight in gold. If you love wok, this book must be on your kitchen shelf!

This book is AMAZING! I was interested in finding a good cookbook that was easy for beginners just starting out with the Wok and this did not disappoint. The recipes are easy to understand and make. The ingredients are easily found in stores and I am loving the tasty dishes. My favorites so far are the spicy shrimp wontons and spiced egg drop soup! On top of the great recipes, I really enjoyed all the background information on the Wok. Not only does Lucy Lynn break down the history and evolution of the wok, but you also get a lot of great tips for cooking in the wok. Here in the midwest, we don't often cook with this pan, so this was all new for me and I really appreciated learning everything a wok can do and tips and tricks to help me succeed. Highly recommend this one for any new or seasoned wok users!

J’ai commencé à cuisiner au wok. Dans ce livre, j’ai appris comment entretenir le wok, quelle type d’huile utiliser, comment préparer et dans quel ordre faire cuire les aliments; en somme, tous les principes de base pour comprendre comment cuisiner au wok. En plus, il contient aussi 500 recettes de plats et de sauces pour le wok. C’est un essentiel pour comprendre la cuisine au wok qui est tout simplement savoureuse. Un détail que j’étais en train d’oublier, ce livre est en anglais, il est très bien écrit et facile à lire, mais si vous ne comprenez pas l’anglais…

This cookbook offers recipes from various Asian cuisines. Although I have most of the ingredients and spices in my refrigerator and spice shelf, I rarely use some of them. I found myself looking up the spices in Chinese five-spice and recalling the Gochuchung and sriracha that I should use more often. Better yet, cooking at home allows the use of healthy oils and less butter. I loved the index for discovering ideas for specific vegetables and the section on sauces. A great reference for beginner or experienced cooks.
