I actually requested a refund on this item, and decided to cancel the refund and do a little bit of filing. I was able to make this work for my needs. The rear novak slide cut on my 1911 was slightly higher than the mount, forcing the plate to angle down...filed the underside of the plate down and it fits perfect. I thought this was one solid piece, it is not. This is a two piece mounting plate. A sight push will slide in the slidemount, and the plate attatches resting on top with two screws. Was somewhat wobbly, till i filed the plate down. Looks good. I do not like the 2 piece mount and would prefer a solid piece...but with that being said, it functions flawlessly. The online store is also very responsive, and easy to work with. I will be returning to thier online store for future purchases from them. Tho i did not return this item, the store has impeccable ethic, and has earned my business. I may be a picky customer, but this store is sooo good, i would recommend searching thier items before looking elsewhere. Thanks, to this store for being beyond excellent!

This fits the RIA Ulta Tac HC (double stack 10mm) great. Venom optic pairs well & have been a great addition.

Unfortunately would not work on my Kimber Custom 2 but that is NOT the product’s fault. I ended up using this on a different 1911 and it was perfect! Highly recommend this mount.

Used this Novak system for my Hammerli Arms Forge H1. It required a bit of sanding with my Dremel but ended up working well to mound a red dot (Vortex and Cylee) on two different firearms.

Bought this to put a holosight on my RIA. It had Novak style rear sight. This mounting plate has a ridge on the bottom that had to be ground off for it to sit correctly. The photo show how it sits before grinding off the ridge. Other than that it fits fine. The piece that slips into the dovetail slot is nice and snug and had to be tapped in with a brass drift which I like.

Mounted this on a friends RIA 1911 and the fit was perfect. The dovetail was tight but I didn't have to modify which was a pleasant surprise. I bedded it to the slide and it's rock solid and the sight has held zero perfectly. Not he wants me to mount one on a different arm if I can find one that fits it's dovetail.

As advertised

The average buyer will not be able to zero in their red dot sight with this mount. The mount base sets too high in front and you will not be able to adjust. The fix is to drill and tap a set screw in the rear of the sight mount base so you can adjust it to zero. I only takes about .010" of adjustment.
