Excellent models to have for reference when drawing or painting from imagination.

My daughter is an amateur artist and wanted these hands to help her model/draw hands better. She loves it. I can't say it will make you a better artist, but I can say it provides a good model to help you with drawing hands or hand positions.

I already had a larger hand from IKEA, but that ended up being used as decoration. So I wanted both a right and left hand that I don't need to take down each time I want to practice drawing.I ordered the 7 inch hands, and they are much smaller than I anticipated, but after reviewing the measurements, they are exactly as described. So that is on me.These are actually really cute. The range of motion is as much as the larger hand I have, which isn't great, but if it were more, I think the hand would also bend unnaturally. One criticism I do have is that the base doesn't seem heavy enough, so if the wrist is bent, the hand will tip. That limits the poses a bit.For people using these to learn to draw, it isn't a stand alone tool. Just like a wooden mannequin isn't a stand alone tool for learning to draw the human figure. But when used with books, videos, photos, drawing your own hand, it definitely has a place. And they just look cool, too.For decorations, these are cute holding air plants, or they can be painted or decordated with pyrography (wood burning). This smaller size would be perfect in a mixed media sculpture.

Smaller than what I thought but it’s overall good for what you pay for
