Hi There, This item requires batteries in car and remote.

How big is it?. Also is it fast or decent?.

Yes. It fast. Only one of the few brands at this price that has soft tires and a boost speed! After my fist purchase i bought 3 of the Jada brand Fast and Furious cars. The size is the standard RC car size. Read description on the Jada website for full details. If you plan to use more than 1 ensure you read which ones are compatible so you don't use the same freqeuncy when running multiple of theses. Great car at this price! Not the cheap stuff you see at Walmart.

Yes, it is fast, especially for a budget priced car. The boost button does make it faster. Hope that helps. My 24 year old son is happy with it.

Good gift for boys who obsess with racing cars

I bought this car for my nephew as his Christmas present. After using for a few days, he really likes this car. So, I can conclude three comments on this car: 1. The remote control use 2 batteries AA which is included. And this is pretty easy to controll the car. It will fit for boys under 8 years old. 2. The car uses rechargeable with built-in USB charger for a great convenient and money saving in terms of replacing non-rechargable battery. 3. This car is quite durable and strong even thought my nephew crashes it multiple times to hard projects like garage door, tree, post, etc. It ends up with no physical damage and still works great. Great product for its price.
