This serum has been such a nice addition! I love the texture, the combination of ingredients, and the results. I use Tretinoin at night but I'm still struggling with milia and some hormonal breakouts. I really like how soothing this serum is while also still being effective. The addition of bakuchiol is a fantastic bonus. The serum does have an interesting smell, but for the benefits I can ignore that. I really like pairing this serum with the PSA Silver Lining Cream. I've tried a few products from the PSA line by Allies of Skin and I'm so impressed with the ingredients lists and formulations. My skin is combo leaning dry and more sensitive with the Tretinoin use.

I got a product, but a box and a bottle without any protection labels. Now I am scared to use it.

PSA, which stands for Purposeful Skincare by Allies, is Allies of Skin's new, lower-cost skincare line, with each product designed to tackle a specific skin issue. This Clarity Booster uses Retinol alternative Bakuchiol along with BHA, Zinc, Willow Bark Extract and Licorice Root to treat blemish-prone skin, both to prevent future breakouts and smooth evidence of older outbreaks. It's designed to reduce the appearance of pores, smooth skin and fade discoloration. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid, Lecithin Phospholipids, and Bisabolol to help hydrate and soothe skin and prevent redness and flakey from over-drying. It's a nice combo for those with occasional hormonal breakouts or sensitive skin that also gets blemishes. Not too harsh, yet still effective this is great for a teen or young adult, or during the times of months most women continue to have breakouts. It only takes a few drops, and this should be applied to bare skin (or after toning), like a serum. It also can be combined with other serums or daily creams to create a skin cocktail of sorts, to add a "blemish-busting boost" to other products. Like other Allies products, the PSA website provides an FAQ for each product about which other products it works well with and how to use them, while warning of potential interactions. Since cost is one of the biggest dings against Allies, otherwise one of my favorite lines, really look forward to further exploring this new lower-cost branch. I was excited to use this to help with chin and nose acne scars. However, I didn't notice a great difference when I began using it compared to the product I was using before it. I wanted to try something that uses "better" ingredients, but it just wasn't that effective for me. I didn't notice any "pore refining" either. I will say that it didn't leave my skin dry or flaky like similar products have. Acne can be very tricky and what works for some won't work for others. Unfortunately this didn't work for me as well as I'd hoped, so I'll go back to my old product.
