Eddie Bauer Men's CirrusLite Down Vest

This vest does the job. It's actually a lot warmer than I expected it would be. For the best results I recommend that you order one size down from what your regular shirt/jacket size is (I normally wear a large, I ordered a medium). The reason I say this is because this will keep the vest closer to your body, thereby keeping you warmer. I'd actually recommend this with any purchase of down apparel (upper body). Like I said, the vest is great and fits me perfectly in a medium (6'1, 175 lbs.).

I was looking for a vest to wear polos/shirts with to the office. This one is rather thin but really breathable and keeps you warm even outside! No feathers go out as I was a bit afraid of it!The size fits my M perfectly and the navy blue color is also beautiful.Love it! 5 stars!

Barely warm, even layered beneath a jacket. It’s nice and light, but it’s more of an accessory than a practical layering option. Put it on beneath a windbreaker, and it was like it wasn’t even there. I’d expect to retain some heat beneath a windbreaker, even on a windy day, but that was not the case with this “vest”

Best for hiking or travel to cold places: you can roll it into a tiny bag (which is provided), it hardly takes any space. Definitely looks more like outer wear rather than something you would wear to the office: although generally well made, and well designed, the outside material is shiny and therefore looks a bit cheap-looking.

When the call it lite they mean it! It is much lighter than I expected but I still like it! If the temps drop into the 30s this will probably not keep you warm enough on it's own. Glad I bought the vest as well! I use them under my motorcycle leathers and I stay nice and warm in temps in the mid-20s when layered. Definitely worth the money!

I ordered a ‘small’ and it fits just fine. My chest is 39” and my waste is 31”.I really love wearing this vest. I wear it all the time, indoors and out. In fact I probably wear it too much.I skipped the vests in the $20-30 range cuz I didn’t want to get something made in China. I spent a few more dollars to get an Eddie Bauer. Surely that wouldn’t be made with slave labor forced by Communist dictators. But, no it has a ‘made in China’ tag. My labor has now supported tyranny.

This vest was about as thick as a quilted shirt or a hoodie. Not much insulation at all, so unless you plan to wear it in Florida or Death Valley in the summer, I wouldn't use it to substitute for a jacket. The camo was decent, though, and more subdue them woodland or others some people might not want to wear outside the woods. If it were filled like most winter down vests, I would have kept it, but the insulation is so thin I just can't think of any use for it. I didn't even think it would be good for layering, it was so thin. No loft whatsoever.

I already owned the full jacket version of this vest and loved that. The vest version is great too. I absolutely love the color, it's a cool shade of navy blue. The vest comes with a handy pouch that you can pack it down in to for easy carrying. I would buy this again for sure.
