(3.5) This was pretty cute. I loved the friendship between Huan, Sage, Dev and Ellie. I honestly loved the side character more than the protagonist, it was however nice to read about her coming into her own. Also, Sage is an absolute queen.I thought it was so annoying that Ellie kept ditching her friends for Will. I was definitely team Dev all the way, he really saw Ellie for who she was and liked her for it. While Wills only personality trait was having daddy issues.

A sweet, fun book that made me want to take a life-changing trip to Europe! This was exactly the kind of light story I needed after reading some much heavier stuff recently.Ellie's lack of self-esteem and constant worrying about what others thought of her rang true to me. It took me right back to my own high school days. She also has no idea what she wants to do with her life, which was also me in high school. To this day I still can't answer the question "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?"Will was just too good to be true, which turned out to be the case. Self-centered to the very end. But all the other characters were amazing. I love the friend group: Dev, Sage, Huan. I would love to see them back in the States kicking ass together.I'm very much looking forward to the sequel Hot Dutch Daydream.

I’m not an overly optimistic person & i don’t completely love everything if you feel what i’m getting at. i’m 19 and Personally, i loved the book. Why did i love it so much? It captured my attention, however at times it would go on a bit about nonsense, like filler paragraphs, but they wouldnt last that long until it would get right back to the good stuff. Perfect amount of romance and adventure. I really enjoyed this book and at times i was laughing out loud and voicing my opinions. Like it had me flipping to the next page in anticipation. I really enjoyed the characters too. Everyone was very mellow but still very exciting in their own way. Not too over the top and i appreciate that. I cant stand annoying, extra, or dramatic characters. I personally do not think elle was too boy crazy.. i mean shes a teen girl visiting a new country what more would you expect? If you like the idea of yourself being torn between two lovers then you will like elle. I liked her, personally it was the perfect amount of boy crazy for me. Except for when elle would miss out on being with her friends to be with will. Also the book is a very short read, only will take you a couple of hours if you’re a fast reader. if you’re looking for something light and airy, and fun and romantic, this is the book. Pretty good book and it made me want to read something else, i’m on to the next book but i enjoyed this one a lot. Ngl
