Garage FastTrack Upright 25" Satin Nickel Wall Mounted Storage System Direct Mount for FastTrack Garage Rail Garage/Home Organization

We like these products to much, we now have an entire FastTrack system in our 3-car garage. The best feature is that you can very easily change things around (not the tracks, but all of the hanging pieces). The uprights are an expensive way to hang shelves, but they are strong and they are not permanent, so you can adjust the location of your shelving. You can't beat the convenience - the uprights themselves require no assembly or installation. You simply hang them from a FastTrack track. You will also need to buy a track, brackets, and wire shelving, though, and this can add up very quickly. The only store in our area that has a decent stock of FastTrack pieces is WalMart, but they have nowhere near the number of options as Amazon. Lowes and the Home Depot offer only a handful of the FastTrack hooks and the track. One caveat about the uprights: if your garage is unfinished (as ours is), you will need to hang the uprights on the studs, or they will not be stable. Of course, if you have sheetrocked walls, this will not be an issue. Bottom line - the uprights are a well made product that can help you organize your garage almost overnight. We did!

I bought this shelving system in pieces to use in my cargo trailer. I wanted a system I could customize and that would be lightweight and sturdy at the same time. This has been in my trailer now for over a year and has survived bumpy NY roads and long cross country hauls. It handles the loads I put on the shelves even when I don't do it so gingerly. They even survive the shelving loads, strapped down and bouncing! These are really sturdy! I would recommend using at least one screw to secure the bottoms of the vertical hangers to keep them from shifting if you are using these in a application such as mine. I know these are not designed for my use but you wouldn't know it from the way they handle! I get compliments from other people with cargo haulers looking for something similar. Great product!

The Rubbermaid Fast-Track system is the best design rack system for those who hates clutter and busy garages and also loves to keep stuff off the ground on a very neat way. Be aware of the price, the system looks inexpensive piece-by-piece, but if you plan to have several or multiple modular systems like I did, do the math first to avoid surprises.. Here is why... I installed 2 of this one item @ $15 each = $30, 4 brackets for each shelf @ $8 each = $32, 2 shelves @ $25 = $50. That's roughly $112 for two shelves on a 48" rack system. Here is the interesting thing; I needed at least 3 systems and ended up spending $336 for the 3 racks. That's money..!!! Additionally, I also installed 3 more systems to hang bikes, beach chairs, and some other stuff, which came out another $250 and at the end my total bill was a bit over of $600 as a total for this full project when completed. I'm quite happy how my garage looks, and impressed how much room I got after hanging all my stuff and this system allows you to customize any layout combination you want. The quality is excellent, the finish is super clean, and fairly easy to install. Did not give 5 starts because I had an issue with the product as it claimed to be a 5G71 Fast Track 25 in. Upright with Gripper, but arrived product was slightly different on the top, but still works and sits tight when mounted. Was not a big deal, but I had to decide if I wanted the system, had to accept this small difference. That's all..!!

I’m always in the garage working on something, and these fastTrack pieces work wonderfully. My Beetle’s personal garage is organized and ready for whatever protect I do next to the car. My garage is my man cave, my escape, so when my wife comes to visit me in there she can’t get over how tidy everything is, and how great it looks. I have to ask all the time, if she was talking about me or the garage wall organization.

This is a great rail for a storage unit. It is strong and the vinyl covering makes it attractive. My grip is Rubber Maid does not support the product. Consumer can not find the brackets or add on to make this a usable product. So, I would probably buy another brand in the future.

We decided to organize our garage and began by checking our options on line. We were able to find some of the parts at our local do it yourself type stores. Once we started we wanted to finish, so we checked on line at many different sites. All were far more expensive and shipping was outrageous. Amazon came to the rescue again. Shipping was free with super saver and the product was at a far better price then anywhere else we checked. Thanks Amazon. We have the most organized garage on the block. Great product.

I love this system. If it gives you a hard time, you might wanna hire someone to hang these for you or you'll end up with half your sheetrock ripped off the wall and a mess to clean up. This system is handy, but like others have said, they have gotten more flimsy over the years. What happened to American quality? Oh yeah, outsourcing.

Excellent rails at a good price. They're a grey metal that works well with Ikea, Rubbermaid or most other brackets that fit into two side-by-side holes. If you do buy rails, be sure to check how far the different rails stand out from the wall. These are comparable to Ikea rails and stand out over 3/4". I had some others that didn't come out as far and so while the hole spacing was the same, the different depth became a problem. It's best to stick with one brand of rails if possible. Two complaints: 1. You can only buy four at a time. I needed nine rails, so I had to order four, wait for delivery, order four more, and so on. It doesn't make much sense that they don't want to sell me enough for my whole project. 2. Each rail came in a separate 6' box that was actually large enough to hold all four. Seriously. I'll bet cardboard manufacturers love these guys!

Had some extra wire shelves, just needed the upright wall brackets to get them to work. Very good system. Easy to install and fast to recreate a closet to add more space.

comes without clips to attached to the 47 in upright. no way to buy clips from anyone

If you read further in the description, you will notice that although the title says "Configurations" it is actually FASTRACK. I needed another upright to extend my configurations closet and this is the only one available to purchase separately. I finally ordered a full 3 - 6 foot closet just to get the extra upright. I will use the leftovers in another space. Boo!
