Seems super cool, but the bicyclist in question didn't love it...
So I personally thought this seemed rather useful. It works exactly as described, and has multiple sizing options. It fits well, and the fact that you can remove the face part is a bonus. (Something even the bicyclist I bought this for mentioned.) However, I ultimately returned it, as he didn't love it, and didn't really want to wear it or use it. So while I do think this is a very good product, I'll focus on his complaints for this review for the most part.He strongly disliked the tail on the back of the hat/skullcap portion. Yes, it's designed to cover the back of your neck, but he just didn't like it, and would prefer to either cover everything all the way around (mouth/nose as well as back of neck), or none of the above. For non-frigid weather where he doesn't need something warmer on the back of the neck, he'd rather rely on just his jacket. He also didn't love how long the face mask portion was, and it does admittedly hang down somewhat long.So ultimately, those are things to keep in mind when purchasing this. I still think it's a great product, but keep your preferences (or the person you're purchasing it for) in mind. He ultimately chose a different skullcap-like hat, and a merino wool face/neck cover that I believe would be called a neck gaiter. He loves that combination better than this. He pairs all of that with a gore-tex jacket that he has that covers enough of his neck in non-frigid weather to make him happy even when he's not wearing some of it. So this is definitely a good product that I think has some great options to it, but it may or may not work for you (or your bicyclist). Definitely look it over and give it a try, though!

Great idea
I haven't had a chance to wear this on a ride yet, not cold enough; I bought in advance of winter so I'd have it handy). But some notes:• I like the vented material up over the top of the head. Even in winter this is nice once I get to exerting.• The thing actually fits my XL-sized noggin!• The "rip the face mask off independent of the headpiece" is great and works.• Also works is that you can re-attach fairly easily just over the helmet straps without removing helmet...a nice touch.• I have problem with the usual neoprene style in that they pull hard at the base of my skull on the upper vertebrae and gives me pretty severe neck aches. This one has a "just snug enough" fit with more flexible material and the magnets don't feel like someone grappling with my head, yet it stays on just fine.I hope to update this in a few months when it gets colder.

adjustable/ comfortable/ wish it was a touch warmer
I commute daily by bicycle, I also do most of my around travel by the same. My commute is typically only 15 minutes, so I do not get much time to warm up. I live in a humid environment, which compounds cold temps. What I like about this balaclava:-adjustable-vented (prevent glasses/goggle fogging) -break-away-length of both sections allow me to tuck under my cycling jacket-'Mullet hat' covers ears. What I am not overly pleased with:-all the venting makes it so it does not keep my warm much below ~35°F-while the 'Mullet Hat' feels snug over my ears, wind sneaks in as I cycle. I have a large hat size (~23").-the face mask tends to slip down my face a bit. I continue to adjust the magnet 'tightness' to alleviate this issue. In colder weather I wear this balaclava over another thin one. Layered this way, I have commuted below 5°F this year.

Does what he says
I've used this a few times around Christmas 2019 and it worked great. I was especially dubious about the fogging factor and I can now say that with snow googles and this mask, I had zero to a tiny bit of fogging. Then when I was over warm, I took it off. Well done.I'm about to use it in some fat bike races. If I discover a weakness, i'll update this.

Just a hat with non-adjustable bandana
It is like having a poly hat with a poly bandana which is NOT adjustable with having just ☝🏼magnet. I would return for refund if I had not let the time run out.

So so
This fit well; but, it was a pain to try to get on. Not possible with one hand. Easy to get off with one hand though. It didn't keep my glass from fogging up; which was why I purchased.

Works very well for winter bike riding, Combined with goggle it could easily get you riding down into the 20's and maybe colder. Removable face piece is very convenient. I just with there were more option for the beanie color and maybe face mask size and design.

Five Stars
Used for biking and versatility for different extremes in weather in Minnesota makes this an essential.I have used this for several years and the 2020 update is that I found wearing a surgical mask underneath can allow one to bike in even colder conditions.

Una muy buena compra.
Usando el gorro y el cubreboca funciona al 100 realmente cumple su función, pero cuando solo usas el cubreboca a cada rato se está bajando, de ahí en fuera todo perfecto, me gusto mucho.
