Why did you choose this product over others?: Tried others but the latches were not smooth. The internal part of the latch is not finished but as this is not visible it isn't important so please don't let this put you off. The action was very smooth and the latch bolt fully recessed into the housing. All visible parts look excellent and was easy to fit with all required screws and face plates etc. Would highly recommend this. Build quality: Excellent

Good quality, however some of the screws were missing, other than that I would buy again as they are a good price. The part that goes on the door frame is quite big so requires a deeper hole than usual which the only reason it didn't get 5stars for installation.

Does the job

The latch was slightly too large to be a straight replacement for the failed old one. Managed to enlarge the slot in the door for it with some scraping out and time, and knocked it in with hammer. This resulted in the item being a millimetre or two higher in the door, so refitting the door furniture then needed adjustment as the screw fittings could not meet without cross-threading. Being slightly larger therefore turned a 5 minute job into a 45 minute job.

Good solid locks.

Arrived quickly. It's good for the price. A little stiff but the door is open most of the time. As long as I don't get locked in the office, I'm fine with that. Face plate fits well but the other side is a little big so I've left the old one on as it works just as well.

Idéal pour des portes non standard crées par un artisan, ce système de pêne anglais est bien plus simple à intégrer dans une porte que le système français. On peut ensuite ajouter un verrou si on le souhaite.
