I was pleased to try these 'Hair Defence for Fasting and Keto: Protect Your Hair Against Potential Nutrient Deficiencies During Fasting or Keto. 90 Capsules'. I have been on a Keto type diet for over a year to reverse my diabetes but my hair and nails are suffering - I hope these nutrients will help.1. You get 90 capsules in a white plastic branded bottle with a white plastic screw top lid.2. There is a clear plastic tamper-proof seal on the outside and also a paper seal under the screw top.3. The dose is one capsule per day, so this supplement will last you about 3 months.4. There are a great range of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, including a 5000% dose of Biotin per capsule - that you might become deficient in, if on Keto or fasting diets. The Amazon product page states 'Biotin is the key vitamin that's been scientifically proven to boost hair growth in individuals with deficiencies'.5. I have been taking them for about 3 weeks now. They are not too big to take easily with water for me. They have a yeasty smell but no taste that I can discern. I have not had any side effects but can't say that I have seen any difference in my hair. I assume it will take longer to be of much help - perhaps the new growth will be better but that will take time.6. The product is made in the UK, is sugar and gluten free without 'junk fillers'. The capsule is made of a methyl cellulose, so I presume it is suitable for vegetarians but that is not mentioned on the product or Amazon product page.7. The best before date on my bottle is 23/11/2023.In summary - a good mix of ingredients designed to target any dietary deficiencies that might be causing poor hair growth. I am yet to see any improvement but have high hopes. The price of £16.99 for 3 months supply is fair to a little high, in my opinion.

It is not only essential for healthy hair, but actually aids in the breakdown of carbohydrates, and proteins, so helps you lose weight faster.I have concentrated on Biotin, because this product is called Hair Defence. All the other vitamins and minerals play their part too, but Biotin is the key ingredient here.You get 90 capsules, or a three month supply, and for the price they represent excellent value.I highly recommend these capsules if you are starting a keto diet, or any other diet for that matter. Also recommended for anybody fasting for health, or religious reasons.

This is a product which is specifically made for those on a Keto diet. I looked on the manufacturers website and in one of the FAQ's it asks if the product is suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians and they state that whilst it is, because it is targeted towards those on a Keto diet then the expectation is that the typical clients will be eating meat.Whilst I am vegetarian, the reason this was of interest to me is as I typically do a daily 16:8 or 18:6 Intermittent fasting routine and I thought this would be really useful in my situation since I only have a small eating window and would not get as much nutrition compared to eating more meals/food.I like that I can have this without breaking my fast state and it can support the health of my hair. The capsules are large but okay to swallow without any issues. Since it is only 1 capsule a day, the bottle will last for 90 days which is great. It looks like a very useful blend of nutrients . I have not previously supplemented with Biotin and this would be a very useful addition to my supplement regimen. The bottle was sealed properly and I did not see any quality issues with the capsules.

I've supplemented with Biotin (the main component in this very complete complex) for years now for help with keeping my thin and rather weak hair as healthy and strong as possible, with the added benefit of having much stronger and healthier nails and extra support on top of other supplements for improving blood sugar level. I'm confident in supplementing with biotin due to long-term use based on previously extensive research - if you're not sure if this is right for you or not then do your research properly elsewhere or consult a professional, regardless of if you're taking this specifically for use alongside a Keto type diet/fasting or just for general hair support.If you're already confident about the benefits of biotin, the fact it won't interfere with any other supplements or issues then these are a very good all inclusive option and for 90 tablets at one-a-day meaning these should last around three months the value is very good for a complex like this so would 100% recommend.
