Size:2 1/2" x 5" x 1/4 Fiberglass Rocker Spring Plates do not have holes drilled. You will need to use the old spring plate as a template to measure and drill hole to fit your furniture. It is suggested that you use a drill press to make sure the holes are straight. Re-assemble the parts the same way that you took them apart. There should be a metal plate or washer between the bolt head and the spring plate. The black finish was added to the spring plate by the manufacturer because it has an ingredient that makes it possible for the furniture manufacturers to powder coat the chair frames after they are assembled. The black finish will hold an electrostatic charge that attracts the powder. You can spray paint the plates with aerosol paint from a local paint or hardware store. You should be able to find an aerosol paint that will come close to matching the original considering most of the spring plate is not exposed.

You have to drill your own holes
I hope this stands up to the test of time. I'm replacing metal one that broke. Be careful when drilling and wear protective eye-ware and gloves. The shavings from the drilling will get into your skin. The product seems to do the job once installed.

Perfect replacement
Perfect replacement for my Meadowcraft Vinings Swivel Rocker. I made the mistake of ordering 2. You need 2 per chair. I have two chairs so I ended up reordering two more of them. Easy to drill and install! These replacement plates are not available from Meadowcraft online.

Perfect. Holes must be drilled by customer. Keep your old plates for stencil.
Perfect replacement. Beats the heck out of throwing away otherwise perfectly good furniture. Just use your old plates for the stencil to mark the center point for the bolt holes that will need to be drilled by the customer. Fiberglass material.

Smaller by 20% than those removed thus not as strong. However, much better seating than the old worn out ones.

Product Exactly as Expected
Was told to expect 2 weeks delivery, arrived in Ontario within 7-8 days. Looks as expected. Drilled 4 holes and replaced broken plate spring in 10 minutes. Chair works again, is balanced, seems to work perfectly. I ordered the 3" wide version even though the original was only 2.5". Figured the larger plate might last longer. Comes as a set of two.
