The Little Duck (Pictureback(R))

Wish they made more books like this now. My son is 4 and loved the photos of a real duckling hatching out of the egg and growing up. Glad I took a chance on this knowing nothing about it.

I hope this never goes out of print. It was my favorite book as a child and in the midst of current crisis, I felt it important to reach back to a time when my world was perfect and bring a bit of it forward for my 9 year old. Obviously, this was way too young for him. But, he took notice of the innocence within this book and effect it had on him.I remember the pictures from 40 years ago....Gen X doesnt always get the best deal, but with this author and photographer (and all in this series)...we did.Thank you for having it and at a great price. Little kids will love this forevermore.

Young children love young animals and this book includes adorable real life pictures they will enjoy. Especially for those who visit ducklings in ponds nearby.

Beautifully written and photographed book that I purchased for our grandson’s very first Easter basket. His mama was thrilled as she remembered it from her childhood.

I bought this as a gift. It was one of my favorite books as a kid. I love the cute story and pictures. When I got it I looked through it and the color was very faded through the whole book. I was disappointed but didn't have time to do anything about it. I remember the colors being brighter as a child.

This was one of my favorite books as a child. I would spend hours pouring over the pictures. The photos of the duck hatching are amazing yet simple. Children alway laugh with the blow drying of the duck, I was very pleased to find this book as an adult and to be able to share this book with my 5 and 1 year old who both equally enjoy it. The pictures are classic late seventies/ early eighties Very sweet nostalgia for parents. I used this book as a gift for all the guest at my daughters first birthday.

Simple story but this is my daughters favorite book. We read it all the time, so much, that my 4 year old has memorized it!

Great book. Classic

I remembered this book from when I was very young and learning to read. Our copy had been lost a long time ago, and when I came across it and saw the cover, it brought back a lot of great memories. It was great to go back and meet Henry all over again and make the journey with him to find someone he could identify with. He'll always have a place in my heart.

Lovely simple story with realistic photos of an actual duckling. Shows its progression from hatchling to young duck.
