I was pretty excited about this product seeing as it had such consistently high reviews. But when I got it and made some ice-spheres, I found they are just too small for their stated purpose. In fact if I doubt the recipient would hardly even notice anything special about them if served a glass with one or two in there, they are barely larger than a decent sized cube. I was hoping for a big sphere that filled up the glass from side to side. These do not fill the bill. I have now ordered another brand that makes them larger, hopefully they will fill the bill (er I mean glass).

These work fine, but the ice balls are not as nicely shaped as those produced by the Zappbo's molds. I also think the Zappbo's molds are easier to use. That said, the size of the Glacier Stones 4.5cm ice balls are better for cocktails because they allow more room for garnish.

Instructions aren't so clear. I had to rip out the little "tabs" on mine to let the water "expand." I've heard that boiling the water will make them crystal clear. You really gotta be a borderline genius to figure out how these work though.

Bought these as a present for my dad and he loves them! I use them sometimes myself and it's fairly simple to freeze the ice and remove them when you're ready for a drink. They don't always come out as a *perfect* sphere, but they're great at keeping a drink cold without watering it down. Fill with boiled water (cooled of course) or bottled/filtered water for clearer ice spheres.

They are almost 1/2" smaller than advertised which is a lot for this type of product. Not any larger than the ice cubes in my ice cube trays, which makes this purchase kind of useless. If you are going to advertise 2", at least make them a legitimate 2".

Took me about 1 hour of experimenting how to fill it up... finally figured that out. Like it.

Product turned out to be better than what I expected. Very durable and will be making future orders.

Mold fills easily. Ice balls are easy to remove from the 2 piece mold. The balls melt slower than cubes so they don't water down your drink as quickly. The 2" balls do not fit into all my glassware so I have ordered the next smaller size, too.
