Heated and Cooled Executive Office Chair HC-321

I received my chair 2 days after placing my order. Assembly was easy and only took about 15 minutes. It's an executive looking chair, very professional for the office. It would be a great chair by itself but with the heat/cool feature it takes you to the next level of luxury, comfort and warmth. I no longer need to use the portable space heater at work. I am getting about 4-5 hours battery life after a full charge. A spare battery to purchasers as an accessory would allow you to have a backup once the first runs out. I am at the office for 8-10 hours a day, it's winter here and I always freeze all day. With the heat set on high you really feel the warmth on the seat and up the lower back. I am 5'2 and while sitting all the way back to feel the full warmth my feet don't completely touch the floor, but that's ok the chair was worth it. I have had so many people trying out my new heated seat and they all want one too. It's still winter but I think I will probably be using the heat feature in the summer too. Sometimes the office is just so cold. I am so impressed with the look, feel and quality of this chair and would highly recommend it to any of you office workers who, like me, freeze all day at work. Well worth the cost.

I bought this chair because I was tired of having to compromise between the airy feel of a mesh chair (such as Aeron etc) and the plush comfort of a nice leather executive chair. The leather chairs always felt comfy for an hour or so but would always get too warm and sweaty after awhile. The cooling mode on this chair does the trick. There are however a few things that are preventing me from being 100% satisfied and leaving a 5 star review :1. WHY CAN'T I JUST PLUG THE DARN THING IN TO THE WALL? The battery, while long-lasting (I guess?) is a pain in the butt. Who doesn't have an electric outlet near their desk? Nobody! Also, if you're going to sell a product that is designed to be used for long periods of time (like a desk chair) that requires a rechargable battery, it would seem to me like a pretty great idea to offer a spare battery so that one can be charging while the other is in use. Perhaps there is a spare battery available but if there is it's not easy to find here on Amazon.2. The docking stand thing for the battery doesn't line up properly and is basically useless.3. The blue LED that indicates that the chair is in "cooling" mode quit working after roughly 2 months. This wouldn't be a huge deal if it weren't for item #1. I have no way to know if the battery has died since there is no visual indication since the light doesn't work. (I can stick my ear to the chair and listen for the fans but.... come on.)

First battery was defective. Got a new one from them and it works good. Doesnt cool as well as i was hoping but the heat works good. The plastic pieces on the arms could be better. Comfy chair. After a year the heat quit working. Haven't been able to get ahold of the manufacturer to get it fixed.

The chair itself is very comfortable. I'm sure the reason most people would buy this particular model is for the heating/cooling functions. Sadly, it worked great for one battery cycle for several hours. Went to recharge it and it never seemed to charge. The "status" light remained green however.Tested the battery pack on a multimeter and it only read 1.17volts at the output pins. Spudged the pack apart (the pack is really a six-cell 18650 battery pack with a control board) and discovered one lead was broken off, as seen in the picture, indicated by red arrow (B- or battery negative lead.) Even after soldering it back on I was unable to successfully get this unit to charge or work in the chair. Still waiting to hear from manufacturer.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter, who is constantly cold all the time due to complications from surgery. It was my hope it would keep her warm while working at her desk, without having to raise the house temperature to 80 deg F where she is comfortable, and the rest of us are roasting. The chair has been in continuous use now for 6 months.The chair has exceeded our expectations. She absolutely loves it! It keeps her warm and toasty even when the room is cool . I was skeptical that a battery powered heating system would last very long, or get hot enough. It indeed works as advertised. She charges the battery overnight, and it keeps her warm all day. It has become the primary chair she uses in the house, and she states that she would never want to be without it. As an added benefit, she finds it very therapeutic for her lower back problems where it warms and relaxes the muscles and helps her feel better and loosen her back up.The chair is well constructed, very attractive and offers good support. It is comfortable to sit in for a long period of time, and is sturdy enough to last for many years. Once she settles in to her new position at work, it is our plan to buy a second one for her to use at work!!I can give a strong recommendation to purchase..

I received the chair on Friday and I surprised my husband for Birthday.I have problem when I assembled the chair, the hole with screw K . The screw loosely goes in but the hole is not threaded so this screw just slides into the hole and turns forever there and unable to tighten

Assembled our chair and the heater and fan did not work consistently. Only worked if we sat forward on the chair. Gentherm is making us return the chair to Amazon, they will not replace our chair. This means we have to disassemble the chair and pay for shipping to Amazon. Meanwhile, we are without a desk chair and my husband works from home. Gentherm only offered me a new battery. Completely dissatisfied. Will never purchase a chair from them again. $400 not well spent.
