WS-7013BZ weather station
First off, get this one and not the WS-7013TWC, also sold by Amazon. The 'BZ' unit comes with a remote sensor and is cheaper than the 'TWC' which doesn't come with a remote sensor. Go figure. I guess it is like airline fares. Anyway, the unit, although it is a bit on the small side does it job well. I had an older La Crosse base station, which gave up the ghost, so I replaced it with this one. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the new one immediately paired with the old remote unit, so now I have two remote units. Nice! The batteries, especially on the remote have lasted a long time. (The old remote unit is on its original battery from 3 years ago.

La Cross Technology Wireless Temperature Station
Once I got it didn't know where I was going to put the sensor since it isn't suppose to get wet. It took me awhile to get the outdoor sensor and thermometer to read. Once I got it working it seems to work well. Temp matches with in a degree or two to another thermometer. I put the sensor out on the upstairs patio in the late afternoon until I figured out where I would be able to put it. We had on unexpected rain that night and the thermometer no longer read.. I wished I had paid extra for a weather proof one. I took the batteries out and let the sensor dry out for a couple days, put it back together and it worked and has worked ever since. I didn't think the sensor would read from my upstairs back bedroom to the downstairs patio but it does.

Battery life only drawback.
Battery may last a year at best. I tried all different brands. You have to remove all batteries first. Replace the outside battery. Then replace the inside one. Wait for temp to appear. Then set clock. Rather a pain they seem to always need replacing on the dead of winter with 3 feet of snow.

Nice Little Unit
I was unexpectedly surprised to see how easy it was to set up this temperature indicator. We have it sitting on a shelf and it's fairly attractive. It reads out to a tenth of a degree F., which is kind of strange since the specs only guarantee accuracy to within +/- one degree F. But, it still gives you a good idea of conditions outside. The mounting of the sensor using the screws provided is a bit tough. Be sure to pre drill holes because the philips head will deform and be useless if you try torquing without drilling first. I gave up on the screws and used the pressure sensitive adhesive pad included.

La Crosse WS-7013BZ temperature station
After recieving the La Crosse WS-7013BZ I was unable to get it to work. After multiple tries I called your number, the person I talked to was very nice, he ran me thru the set-up procedure and came to the conclusion the sensor was bad so he arranged to have a replacement sensor sent to me. I received the new sensor, set it up and it is working great now, i'm very happy with it, Mike.
