This is a great books for people who love Titanic (the actual ship not the movie. If you're looking for stuff about Cameron's movie "Titanic" there is very little on that here.). James Cameron has gone further than anyone else in exploring the wreck and there are some amazing photos/details here. I own "Ghosts of the Abyss" and the book that goes with it, and there is some duplication between that and "Exploring the Deep". Some of the same info/pictures are used, but overall I felt the way the books were put together was much different, so it's worth owning both. There's also some amazing information about Cameron's 2005 trip to the wreck, which was in a Discovery Channel special (that I didn't see). This book is wonderfully laid out with great pictures and detailed captions. There's also an in depth look at how Titanic sank and a really interesting copy of Cameron's 'dive journal' for his Ghosts of the Abyss dives. Definitely worth it!

Fantastic book on Titanic, with great text and stunning pictures. Plus great new paintings from Titanic artist Ken Marshal.
Exploring the Deep is a fantastic book, great new photos and fantastic new paintings from Ken Marshal. Its is the definative book on James Camerons Titanic expeditions. The photos and CGI Pictures of the Turkish Baths and Marconi rooms are very impressive. Im a Titanic Fanatic and have over 25 books on the subject, plus DVDs and i would say this is the final word on the disaster. So thanks to Amazon for there fast service and thanks to James Cameron and his expert team for creating such a stunning book to add to my collection. Gavin Craig.

Remarkable book
I just received my copy of this book. What a remarkable work. The photographs, esp. from the wreck site, tell the story in ways that cannot be described in a simple review here. A moving and powerful collection of images that tells a story that for so long people had only wondered about. I haven't had it long enough to start reading, but I know it will be a thought-provoking experience.

Beautiful book, but unfortunately arrived damaged.
I have been looking forward to getting this book for weeks now and am not disappointed in the content at all- what a beautiful, breathtaking book with insightful and interesting commentary! I am, however, disappointed in the condition of the book I received- I selected a “new” copy whilst ordering so I was very surprised to see obvious damage to the front of the book and structural damage to the spine of the book. I was planning on this being a coffee table book in the hopes that it might spark a conversation about Titanic or deep ocean exploration, but unfortunately, I’m disappointed to say that my effort to preserve its structural integrity means that it’ll have to remain tucked away in my bookcase.

Fascinating ‘deep dive’ into Titanic, and Cameron’s history with both the wreck and the film.
I really enjoyed this book! Read it cover to cover in a little over 24 hours! The book goes into extensive detail about each of Cameron’s expeditions to Titanic’s wreck as well as the technical challenges faced while surveying a wreck at such a deep, hostile, and uncooperative environment. Truly gripping read! Easily recommended for anyone who is a Titanic buff! Even if you just loved the 1997 film, this book gives insight into Cameron’s motivation and inspiration for making the film.

The book of Titanic expeditions many of us have been waiting for
All three of James Cameron's Titanic expeditions have taken awhile to be put into book form, but it has been worth waiting for. This is no rush job. The authors James Cameron, Don Lynch, Ken Marschall and Parks Stephenson are totally dedicated to their subject. They have produced a memorable book by combining text, photo mosaics, paintings and computer generated renderings of various rooms of the ship. Those who have waited for the 2005 Expedition's photos of some of the deluxe accomodations and the startling images of the Turkish Bath, will not be disappointed. The text also includes a brief but concise description by microbiologist Lori Johnston of, in her words, "The whole new world of biological activity" of the wreck. After reading this book you may not think of the Titanic as just a forlorn wreck, but as a living organism. In this book, the omnipresent bots (rovs) become an extension of the reader's eyes and may for some, add up to a mystical experience.

Fascinating
This is a fascinating read for anyone interested in the Titanic. All the pictures are vivid and excellent quality. The content, too, is very interesting. My personal favorite section is the one which describes exactly HOW the Titanic sank (as seen in James Cameron's 100 year anniversary documentary). Must have addition for any Titanic section of your shelf. At first, I was a little taken back by the price (I'm accustomed to the $2 used books). After receiving the book, I have concluded that it is worth every penny. It has LOADS of information and pictures (and information ON the pictures!). It took me over an hour just to flip through it all. Definitely worth the price

A must have for every Titanic enthusiast
As you would expect from James Cameron this book covers his Titanic expeditions in wonderful detail with many personal notes included. The layout is fantastic and the artwork by the incredible Ken Marschall is amazing as always. Both Ken and James' attention to detail is second to none. The ship, her passengers and her legacy are treated with the utmost respect which is something that is often lacking by those that explore her. If you love Titanic, this beautiful book is a must have for your collection.
