In response to another review saying this piece wouldn't be of the same quality as original Thomas parts...actually, I think this is much better quality. It's actually solid hardwood, not compressed particle board material, and it's a wonderful, unique piece.I'm very glad I bought it over 1.5 years ago as it remains one of my train-obsessed, now 3-year-old son's favorite pieces. When younger, he spent hours learning to slide the 3 components together, and switching the pieces around and learning why they wouldn't work that way (though he discovered you can build a nice little ski jump with them...).I actually arrived (or, clicked) here again planning to buy a second one for his preschool classroom, as he loves to play with trains at school, too, so I keep a second set there for my son and his friends/classmates to play with. Realized I had never given a recommendation for the "stone bridge" so...here you go!Highly recommended. Has been used and abused by my son and his friends for 20 months and appears to be indestructible,

We had a bridge similar to this when my 13 year old was 4 but one of the down legs broke. Couldn’t find a replacement until now and sooooo happy I did. The set is complete again and my youngest loves having a bridge to go over and under on.

We are very pleased with this addition to our track. Not only can you build an interesting over/under track, but the thing we like best is that it is so stable. We have a similar stone bridge that has a span in between the sides, and that one is also very nice, but our two-year-old always dislodges the span. This one has a much more stable design, as the span is one solid piece, with two solid end pieces.Clearance: With a track going under the bridge, all of the standard-height Thomas trains will clear just fine. (Clearance from the top of the track to the top of the opening is 2" -- not counting the grooves for the wheels.)

This is one of the best bridges out there. The reason for the 1 star is because most of the Thomas trains barely fit through the tunnel. If the tracks aren't just right they will get stuck trying to through. They could easily widen and raise the opening to help compensate for this.Being that the whole bridge is solid makes it very nice for setting it up and keeping it standing, especially when younger children are playing with it.

Works with Brio, Thomas, and Ikea... we love our Maxim tracks! Really nice quality and excellent value. Love this easy to use bridge -versus some more precarious styles-this guy is easy to assemble and doesn't fall down... perfect for the toddler & preschool crowd

Gave this to my son for his 2nd bday with a bunch of other amazon "off" brand wooden train set track and other bridges and tunnels. For the cost of a small name brand set, I was able to put together a really nice big set!! All the Thomas trains work great on it and the track with trains on it fit just fine under the bridge, straight out of the box. My two yo can set it up and move it around without any help. He's already had hours of fun with it!!

I was a little worried because some reviews said that the trains did not fit under the bridge. I did not have that issue. We have standard size wooden Thomas trains, and they all fit just fine under the bridge riding on the track. I am very impressed with the quality and durablitiy of the bridge, and my boys love that they can now add more track to their table. This piece also adds to the challenge of putting the track together, it is like creating their own huge puzzle over and over.

Got this as an addition to my son’s wooden train set. He can easily put it together (2.5yrs) and it does allow for his trains to go under the bridge as well. Overall I’m happy with this purchase 😊

This is great for the money it works well for younger train drivers as the pieces fit together nicely and it doesnt rely on blocks underneath to hold it up. My little boy has a much more elaborate bridge already which had pieces to hold it up, that one got extreemely frustrating very quick as it just kept getting knocked down. So I put that one away and ordered this, its much more user friendly for a just turned 3yr old hasnt been knocked down once yet. I was a bit worried that as it was a cheaper make it might not fit with his other track (we have a combination of brio and thomas mostly) but it fits well, can have track going underneath as well, and almost all the trains we have can fit under. The only train that wouldnt go was a random bigjigs one whos funnel is too high. For the money, a really great little bridge.
