Purina Moist and Meaty Steak Flavor Soft Dog Food Pouches - 36 ct. Pouch

I’ve tried a lot of dog foods and treats over the years, but Purina Moist & Meaty pouches are hands-down one of my dogs' favorites. These are technically dog food, but I love how versatile they are. Sometimes I use them as a full meal, and other times I treat them like high-value snacks. The cost for the value is unmatched as I have spent plenty of time looking for low cost but reliable treats and this one always comes out on top. What really sets them apart is how perfectly they work inside puzzle toys. I use the Nina Ottosson treat-dispensing toy, and these soft little bits fit right in. The scent is strong enough to keep my dogs interested and sniffing, but not overwhelming for me. It turns into a whole game—my dogs stay mentally stimulated and happy, and I get a few minutes of peace while they work to get every last piece out. They're soft, easy to portion, and super convenient in the individual pouches. No mess, no measuring, and no refrigeration needed. I also appreciate that they're not overly crumbly, so cleanup is minimal even when used in toys or during training. If you're looking for something that can double as a meal and a high-value training reward or enrichment treat, these are a solid choice. I always keep a few pouches on hand—they’re a staple in our house now.

This is the very first time I have given a Purina product a 5 star review but desperate times take desperate measures. I rescued a pit mix years ago because she was slated to die. She has turned into one of the best dogs I have ever had and there have been some real gems before her so thats good praise. Anyway now that I retired it is impossible to buy the recommended brands of softer food that an elderly dog losing it's teeth can actually chew. I broke down and got this moist and meaty for her a while back and use it with the smallest kibble I can find that still is good for her, currently on Jinx. The point is the Moist and Meaty is a great supplement to ensure my old girl is getting enough to eat without as much struggle with chewing.

My dog doesn't *really* like it, but he'll nibble on it from time to time (while glaring at me), which is really why I bought it. He eats really well at dinner, but sometimes gets munchy during the day, and this'll do. He's old and doesn't like hard kibble, and for the price this is the by far the BEST soft kibble I've found. You know what? Screw it - i'm bumping the stars up. He may not love it, but I love the price (compared to the other much higher-priced alternatives)

I have an older dog. She is a Chihuahua and she is missing some teeth. This dog food is perfect size for her and it’s soft so she can chew it.

I have been buying Purina Moist and Meaty for my little guy, for a couple of years now, and it has been an absolute game-changer for us. Taco is a 17-year-old Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix. As he got up there in age, he started having a really hard time chewing his usual kibble. He would just sniff at it and walk away, which was so worrying. The texture is perfect for him. It’s soft and easy for his senior teeth to manage, but it’s not mushy or messy—it holds its shape well. He absolutely loves the taste. He gets excited when he sees me pull out a pouch, and he cleans his bowl every single time. From my perspective, I love the convenience. Since my dog is small, one pouch is the perfect single serving for him. The fact that they come in these individual pouches is fantastic because I don't have to worry about a big bag going stale. I just grab one, tear it open, and it’s ready to go. To keep things interesting for him, I actually buy a different flavor box every other month, and he enjoys them all. If you have a senior dog who is struggling with hard food, or just a picky eater who loves soft food, I cannot recommend this enough. It has helped keep my elderly pup eating well in his golden years; it’s worth every penny.
