Astara Blue Flame Purification Mask, 2 Ounce

I first heard about this product through Liv Tyler’s get ready with me video. I looked for it and found it here, and somehow it went on sale so I thought to try it. I held out cause the reviews were not 5 stars. But wow this is a great mask! It is a great chemical exfoliatant type mask , but is nicely gentle for it have tea tree oil! I saw on the review people complained about the smell, but of course if something has tea tree oil it will not smell like Strawberries !! Lol ... but it is not a bad smell! I love this mask and will probably use it 1-2 times a week! Liv Tyler uses this for a reason, it’s good !! Tingles a little bit but does not burn nor did it leave redness ! I have combination skin with enlarged pores , I give this a thumbs up!!

UPDATE: THIS WILL FOREVER BE APART OF MY SKIN CARE ROUTINE! I use it as a full facial mask after exfoliating & cleansing my skin 2x a week, but I also use it as a spot treatment every single night after I clean my face and such. I had some new pimples coming in and the next day (after using this as a spot treatment) they vanished. I also had a couple of bigger, pressure pimples on my face and the next morning they shrunk significantly in size.I am obsessed with this stinky clay mask!If you have acne, oily & sensitive skin, I promise you, you will LOVE this mask. Just buy it!I have extremely sensitive, acne prone skin. I have been trying everything under the sun, I swear. I did some "research" and spent a couple hours reading reviews on products and comparing products on the internet. I finally came across this product & thought "what the heck".First off, the value is amazing. On other sites, this product is listed for $30 or more. So this price is amazing.Secondly, the smell isn't the greatest, BUT that's what you get when you mix tea tree oil in anything. It's not a SUPER strong scent, and when it dries, it's hardly noticeable.Third, this product WORKS. I was so skeptical to add this into my face care routine, but I do a mask 2 times a week. I've used this mask only once so far and ALREADY can tell a difference in my blemishes and overall facial appearance. I can't wait to use it again!!You get a decent product amount for an incredible price compared to other sellers & it actually WORKS. I did notice a slight tingling/burning sensation when first applied but I rode it out and it eventually subsided. It didn't burn my face as I thought it would. My face was only slightly red due to washing it off, but it didn't chemically burn my face like some masks have done in the past due to my sensitive skin.Very pleased and will be keeping this product in my routine for sure!

As other comments written, I think this is a knock -off brand. My first bottle was from the Astana website. Wonderful product with great results. Then I saw it for less on Amazon and ordered several bottles. Unfortunately I took some time opening one of them to use - past my return date. The mask was lumpy and did not smell or feel the same as the original product I ordered. I think it’s a cheaper version. Not near as good. I’m so disappointed.

I’m in my mid-thirties and have combination to oily skin. I don’t really get breakouts, but I work in a lab environment with chemical fumes and it’s not really the best for your skin. I’ve been using this mask 2-3 times a week for a month now and my skin looks incredible! It just makes it so smooth and just quickly puts an end to any little bump that pops up.Now, the smell is something awful (tea tree oil) but you get used to it and as it dries the smell isn’t as bad as when you first put it on.The first time I tried it, it was stinging so badly that I took it off (scary but my skin wasn’t even red!). The second time it was just a bit tingly so hang in there!It does dry your skin quite a bit so I recommend to put on a moisturizer right after.

I received the product and it looks like a “water downed” version of the real product - very liquidity, and I thought the content felt light on weight when I received it. I won’t buy it again on Amazon.UPDATE - i used the liquidy mask and noticed there were white dots once the mask is dried, and it smelled different; I ordered the same product from Astara website, the consistency and the fragrance of the mask is very different than the one I bought from Amazon, I didn’t use the Amazon one again.

I'm really skeptical about using this now because it came wide open! It was barely sealed and the cab was all the way twisted off this is both extremely unprofessional and unsanitary I'm very disappointed!

I love Blue Astara products and I was nervous when I found how cheap it's sold here. I first just bought one and found it's exactly the same as the $50 ones I bought in the past, except the seal seems to have deteriorated - possibly a little old, possibly just a packaging issue, but trust me the stuff is still golden! Thanks for the great deal!!!

This is a great product! I orginially got it to use as an occasional product. It soon became a staple! I have oily acne-prone skin, it has helped improve my skin dramatically. I use it two-three times a week and also as a spot treatment. When used as a spot treatment I will leave it on overnight on the problem area, in the morning the pimple is usually half the size, if not gone.
