Great book for my 2nd grader!
My 8yo son in 2nd grade was so excited when I showed him this book. It's literally about 2 kid detectives solving who stole a pair of stinky socks. I like it also because there's no bad words, slang, or any mature themes. There are words that are challenging, which is a good thing and I'm happy to see him try to sound them out. Each chapter is 5-8 pages long with some illustrations. And he was excited to read a few chapters in one sitting. Can't wait to start on the next book in the series!

Good material for kids
My son is 6 and he has been hooked on these books. We are already on the fourth one. He reads one chapter daily with my help here and there. He likes that it is funny and easy to follow. He would have liked colored pics but that’s his only complaint. Highly recommend it!

Funny book. The series turn my son into a reader
My son was not a reader. This year he is not only a ready but also a creative story writer. This collection was one of the few he enjoyed reading. He also got into the stories and after each chapter, he didn't want to put the book down. I highly recommend this series if you have a kid who doesn't like to read but enjoy stories that make him/her laugh.

I am so glad to have his head in a book again
I was looking for a book for my seven-year-old son to be interested in reading again. He loves Captain Underpants, but read through all of them and then wasn't interested in anything else. after reading the first book of this series, he was hooked!!! I am buying two to three at a time, and he is constantly carrying these around and bringing them everywhere! I am so glad to have his head in a book again! I believe we're going on book 10 now

Worth the purchase
My 8 year-old 2nd grader enjoyed this book. He had to read a mystery for school, and this was the perfect fit, since it was funny, had cute illustrations to go along with it and had him guessing who stole those stinky socks.
