not even water resistant! Doesn't last in environment it is intended for.
Bought this last year after a woodchuck ate all the bean plants in my garden despite a well secured fence. Seemed to detect motion and activate the alarm when I was nearby, but not sure if it kept any critters away. Stored it indoors for the winter. In the spring I charged it up and hoped it would protect the garden. Weeks later found hundreds of tiny ants going in and out of the unit, and discovered one of the motion sensors was not correctly installed in the slot, leaving a gap for ants and water to get in. Saw a squirrel climbing the garden fence to eat the bean seeds, undeterred if the sensor was even detecting it and sounding the ultrasonic alarm. It started to not detect motion as well even after trying to fully charge it with the AC adapter. Took it apart to remove the ants and assemble it correctly. Came home from vacation to find the garden eaten and the unit not working. Shook lots of water out of it, and it does not even charge or work with the AC adapter. Circuit board had water on it and lots of dirt inside the unit, so probably shorted out and broke. Asking for a replacement under warranty. If I get it, I intend to use caulk and/or tape to seal seams around the sensors and between the two plastic pieces to hopefully get more than a few months of use out of it. Should not be that hard for them to make it more water resistant to begin with!

Very Sensitive and nice and loud
This is very sensitive and sounds with a butterfly, bird, blowing leaves. No way to set sensitivity....but it does goes off and frightens away unwanted animals n our yard. Don't know if animals will get use to the noise and not sure if bears will destroy it due to the flashing lights once they do get use to the noise. I guess we will see what happens in the next few months.

Doesn’t work very well
There are 3 pir sensor and 4 modes that can be set. You need to cross 1 of the pir sensors for it to activate. If you approach from either of the 3 sides (between the pies sensors the siren will not go off and you can actually turn off the alarm. The other issue is, if you want to turn off the alarm with the remote, you can’t. You have to either sneak up on it or turn on sonic mode, so you can’t really hear it, as you turn it off by the switch.Testing it in sonic mode seemed to work as my fog ran away 2 times and didn’t want to approach it again. So if you have a dog or varmint issue, this might work well for you. Otherwise it is a waist of money. One of the units did wake us up at 3:20 am when 2 foxes set off the alarm.Needless to say these are going back for some more basic pir alarms.I tried to upload a video of me waking up to the alarm and disarming it, without setting it off, but the upload time for a 30 second video was just too much and it keeps stalling on the upload.
