I wish I knew about this earlier - this makes grating garlic and ginger fast and safe. This is a must-have if you cook.

This little ceramic grater is easy to use and you don’t have to worry about nicking fingers on metal. The well that surrounds it collects liquid easily. All in all, it’s very handy to have for ginger and garlic.

I should have bought the next size up. It works but.....and I'll leave that right there.

I use a lot of ginger in my cooking, especially when doing Asian in my wok. For years, I dragged out my box grater and nicked my hands often while trying to grate the ginger oh-so-awkwardly. This ceramic grater is safer and easier to use and clean. Grating ginger went from an experience of dread to one of my simple joys that augments my love of cooking - and eating, of course - immeasurably.

It's pretty small but I got it for garlic and it works great. Seen one on Champ's Japanese kitchen on YouTube and figured for 7 and some change why not. It worked just like his but is probably half the size. You will definitely want a little brush to get all the garlic out but it makes a great texture. I didn't read the size just the price but I look forward to grating my garlic with this for a long time.
