Love story and great for new reader 8-9years
My son has taken longer to read and get into reading in general. I needed something to be grabbing his attention and keep him challenging his new skills. He was still reading basic step 2 books and we jumped into this. It has words he couldn’t sound out BUT the story was compelling from the get go. I just read over the words he needed help on and asking comprehension questions and after the first two chapters, he was off on his own wanting to know more and more. He loves this book and I do too! It’s fun and engaging!

VIDEO BECOMES REALITY
This book is targeted for an eight to twelve-year-old audience. Classified as a beginning reader, it would be an excellent choice for reluctant readers. I believe the plot especially appeals to tween boys, particularly those who have sibling rivalry with a sister.Lucas is a tween boy who has a sister, Madison, who is one year older than he. Like many boys his age, Lucas loves video games. One day he is playing his favorite, when he gets distracted for a minute. Next thing he knows, his sister Madison is missing. You guessed it, she has been taken by the game. The short chapters of the book alternate point of view with story being told by Lucas and Madison. The adventure is funny and humorous. One note of caution for parents and teachers. The book includes language like "piss" and mentions "running like hell."I think the book will appeal especially to the younger middle-grade audience and reluctant readers who prefer shorter chapters with less challenging vocabulary.

Great fun read for kids
My 10 yr old who struggled with reading due to a learning disability and didn’t like to read has now found a love for reading books. This book is fun and well written my son who usually is glued to his tablet or Tv absolutely loves reading this book and his face lights up when he tells me about it. This is the first book that made him realize the Joy’s of reading a book. I am very pleased with this purchase.

9 year old loves but 1 case of swearing (so far)
Got this book for my 9 year olds birthday. He has been reading it every night before bed and says its really good, interesting and exciting.I was really pleased with my purchase but tonight he pointed out that it said "pissing"I'm not overly bothered as he says this is the first swear word he has seen (its toward the end) but I was taken aback that this was in a book for kids as young as 8. I would have liked to have been warned as this could affect my decision to purchase, so I thought I would write a review to let other parents know.
