Best YTZ14S replacement battery
I put this into my sons Yamaha SCR950 which seemed to just eat up the factory AGM YTZ14S recommended battery which I feel is the worst battery I’ve ever dealt with. This LiPo battery I charged fully (14.36V) before install, it started the bike up on the first crank so I went for about an hours ride. I then placed it in my garage until my son gets back in town from his work. I do test this new battery voltage everyday since it’s been parked for 3 weeks so far without a charge or drive and it is holding steady at 13.30V.This is looking like a serious cost savings and best long range replacement battery. The added benefit is it’s a little smaller even with the included bottom spacer block giving you a little more room to work in the SCR950 battery compartment. Plus this new battery compared to Yamaha’s recommended expensive battery which seems to last if your luck only 1 or 2 season's!I’ll try to add a follow up to this review further down the road.

good customer service, honored the warranty
Update 8 Nov 2023...battery failed just after 30 days. Had an electrical burn smell, but case was not deformed in any way. Totally unable to jump start the bike, had to swap back in my old, bad lead acid battery to get it started. Battery fails every load test. Charger indicated full charge but the test button on the battery only shows 66%. Battery rattles internally, likely a broken solder connection. Contacted seller via amazon...a couple messages back and forth describing the issue. Replacement battery received quickly after that. Will see how the replacement holds up.Original review...yes, this battery works and is plenty powerful. but it can be challenging for certain applications. It's nice that it has dual terminals, meaning that it works for both left hand and right hand applications. But the terminals are only threaded on the top and not the sides. If your battery cables attach from the side you will have to get extra square nuts, which are not included. Also, as this battery is much shorter than an equivalet lead acid battery, spacers are required. This only came with one spacer so I had to use a piece of 2x4 wood to fit the battery. It works in my 2008 harley sportster but I had to do extra work to get it set right.

Battery died and will not charge anymore within 7 months. Light on battery flicker and flash.
I would love it if the manufacturer would replace this battery but there is no contact info listed on the product to get in contact with them for the 12 month free replacement.*update* no warranty and available and Amazon states the item only has a three month warranty because that’s when the product support ends* I would recommend looking elsewhere for a battery

Great replacement motorcycle battery, even better customer service!
Bought this in May 2023 for my motorcycle. Once installed, this battery cranked my bike faster than it ever has, seemingly a burst of energy from this battery to quickly start the bike. Very happy with it. It lasted the '23 riding season, and most of the '24 season. Then I noticed it did not crank as quickly, finally, would not start the bike. I did some testing, and found the battery seemed to "limit" the charge to 13.6 volts, which is too low. The bike charging system seemed to work OK, so I contacted Ampxell thru Amazon. After working with Lily and her engineers, we figured the battery developed an internal issue with the battery management system. Even after the warranty was up, Ampxell sent me a new battery. Great customer service!

UPDATED AFTER CONTACT WITH SELLER: High Hopes, but ended up disappointed
UPDATE: so after I posted my initial 1-star review - the seller reached out to me and asked a few questions about the battery and how it was used/charged ... After several emails they sent me a replacement battery at no cost to me ... I won't put it back into my chopper until I can figure out a way to firmly bolt the battery down ... Changed to five-star for customer service - docked it a star for durability ...I bought this for my 2009 HD Thunder Mountain Custom Copper because I wanted to make the switch to lithium for the smaller size and instant cranking capabilities ... I did my research and finally landed on the 12v 8ah 480cca version and I'll say at first it worked flawlessly ... No more hesitation on startup and easy charging (not that it ever needed charging) was as advertised, Plus I got a little extra room in the battery box for wire storage because it didn't need to be as big as the AGM that it replaced. That was until yesterday when it left me stuck on the side of the road because it wouldn't start. I checked the battery monitor and it just flashed at the 30% mark and would not crank. After getting it home I hooked up to the charger and let it charge all night. This morning when I went to check the charge it was still at less than 3 volts. When I pulled the battery out to see what was going on, it was clear that there are internal parts rattling around on the inside of the battery. There's no warranty other than what Amazon offers for additional cost on checkout. This is different than my other lithium batteries which have 8 year and 11 year warranties on them.Just beware this product doesn't appear to have a manufacturer warranty, so if it fails after the initial 30 days from purchase you're stuck with a useless piece of plastic.FYI I purchased this battery in March 2023 so it has lasted almost 3 months.

Do not use in an automotive application
I bought this for my daughter's Miata as it takes a goofy sized battery. It was a challenge adapting the posts to battery, but some quick disconnect terminals fixed that.It had no problem starting the car, in fact, with over 400 CCA, it was actually over spec, and did a great job turning the motor over and providing power to everything. What the BMS system does not appear to do is limit the charging current, and the alternator in a car provides just too much charging current and this will destroy the battery - and in the smelliest (toxic?) way possible.Too bad the mfr didn't address this in the BMS because otherwise, what's not to like?Light, powerful, tiny - these are all great features. Take care of the charging problem and provide some extra packaging to make it fit the Miata and I bet a bunch of people would flock to this battery.I'm the meantime, just don't put it in a car.

Used for 1 season. Dead in the spring!
Replaced my my ‘05 Harley Davidson battery and it arrived quickly. I also ordered a Battery Tender for lithium batteries. It took 2 days of being connected to go full green. Installed it, which is a pain on a V-Rod. Has more cranking amps than the OEM battery so it started the bike very nicely. Had a great season, then parked it for the winter and attached the battery tender. Went to start it and not even enough power to light up the instruments. I have a cheap small battery booster which will start it right up but as soon as I detach it to rely on the battery it dies. So sad, I read up a lot on lithium batteries before making the change. This type is supposed to always keep a limited amount of power for it's own controller board, even without a battery tender, which is why I bought it but it appears to be the cheaper kind that doesn't control itself. If you're using this continuously it might be good for you but don't leave it alone for any length of time. Sometimes new isn't better! Shopping for an old lead acid battery now...

Fantastic power, super light
Unit is actually shorter in height compared to the stock lead acid unit - this battery has crazy high cranking amps. No worry of it "not being enough". Being able to check its charge with the pushover a button is a great feature, too.

Dinky little thing. Way to small for battery box. Came quickly. It's doing the job.
Think I've been killing my C90 battery every year by firing it up and letting it idle to get a good charge when I take it out of storage. I think the alternater is not putting out enough voltage at idle and is in fact dragging the battery so low it destroys a cell or 2. This little guy with his built in control board would probably not let that happen. The extra holder that comes with it is very small so I 3D printed a bigger box. I have .stl or .3mf files if needed. In one picture you can see the new battery sitting beside the old. Once installed though it fired the bike right up. How long it will last remains to be seen.

Great customer service
Edit customer service has been great to deal with, I was contacted about the battery and a new replacement is on its way. Hopefully this is a one time issue for me, time will tell. Overall though Ampxell does a good job backing their productBattery seemed great when I Recieved it, I installed it in my 2020 Honda pioneer 1000 and it seemed to start the machine much faster then my old lead battery. I used the battery for a month off and on plowing snow, battery is only connected to the starter and ecu I have a 2nd agm for everything else including the winch.Fast forward to September 2023, after having a trickle charger connected to the machine for a week. Charger is specifically designed for life4po batteries. I go to take the machine hunting and there is almost zero charge on it, just enough to turn on the dash but not to turn over the machine. I connected a charger and it said it was full battery, but the BMS wouldn't even light up. I ended up having to bring jumper cables and jump the machine all day off my 2nd battery, and even running all day the lithium didn't pick up any charge.

Questionable Amp Hour Rating
I recieved this and charged it to 100% using a Noco Genius lithium battery charger that charged it at 14.6 volts and max 2 amps. It showed full on both the battery charger and the 4 LED display built into the battery itself. Voltmeter showed 14.4 volts fully charged, which is what it states is the full state of charge in the manual. I installed it on my 2023 KTM 390 Adventure. I turned the key to the on position with the kill switch set to off (no charging of the ignition coil). The only thing being powered was the LCD display. After about 2 minutes, during which time I was setting the date and time due to the power being cut because of the battery swap, the voltage nose dived to 13 volts on the bikes display, and then confirmed by my voltmeter and the batteries own 4 LED display showed 50%. There is no way it should have dropped so rapidly as the factory AGM battery I swapped out could sit with key in the on position for an hour or more without getting to 50%. Perhaps I got a faulty unit. The terminals are also made of pretty light metal so you have to be careful not to torque the bolts down too hard. Also only the top holes in the terminals are threaded, if you have to use the side holes, like I did on the KTM 390 adventure, there are no backing nuts included in the package, I had to use the ones from the old battery. The battery is light weight and does have 4 terminals, which is good for accessories. I will try it out and update my review accordingly, but if it leaves me stranded it is going back.
