Should be in every bathroom
The benefits of a bidet for a clean tush are highly underrated in the USA. In other parts of the world, they have bidets in every bathroom. Why a bidet, you ask? Isn't that a foo foo French thing? Real men don't use bidets, right? Well... Private parts can be easily cleaned after daily pooping, a romp in the hay, or a woman's cycle. You will be fresher and cleaner both before and after some of these activities, sort of like brushing your teeth before a kiss. Hint hint. Do I have the attention of the men yet? These are not common topics of conversation with your contractor or bathroom designer, but last I heard, these are regular activities for just about everyone. Folks, it's much easier to clean up if you've got the right tool for the job. A hand held bidet is the right tool. Plus, if it reaches to the tub, you can bathe your pets. If you've got a disabled senior in the home, as we have, this is going to make an unpleasant job far easier and quicker. Need I say more?We have a stationary bidet, which sits next to the toilet in the Master Bath. It does not have a hand nozzle, which lessens the practicality. It takes up a good deal of space. One must switch over from the toilet to the bidet, and that's a hassle. It has hot water, but I rarely wait long enough for the warm water to arrive. I actually prefer this hand held nozzle, and may install one to replace the bidet. The lack of hot water in the hand held is a non issue for me, because room temperature water is fine 99% of the time. Basically, I want a quick and easy clean up, not a big project, and a quick spritz with the hand held is perfect. You can ramp the water pressure down if the jet pressure is too high. That's easy. Also you will get the hang of using one if you never have before. If water sprayed out of the bowl, you just haven't got the hang of it yet. You'll figure that out in a day or two.Ok, so hopefully you're convinced that bidets are good, hand-helds are fine, and you're ready to buy one.The cons of this particular hand held unit are:1) The extremely long hose. When sitting on the side of a standard toilet, it touches the bathroom floor. We installed it on the right side of the toilet and hung the bracket on the left side. It still drags the ground behind the toilet and looks untidy. This also means it has to be lifted up to clean the floor. I'm not sure why it's so long. Maybe for the guys standing up? Very tall guys? I don't know, because I'm female and I'm always sitting when I use it. Perhaps Zen Bidet should offer "standard" and "extra long" hoses, with the current one being the "extra long."2) I would have appreciated an option for bronze color to match the fixtures.3) We installed it on a new, low flush toilet from Home Depot. The toilet tank top has a wider rim than the old toilets. This means that the hook didn't sit tight on the lid, but we altered it slightly and it sits firmly now. Conclusion: A great product. Don't hesitate to buy one. Don't hesitate to buy this one. You will be glad you did.

The best purchase I've ever made for my bathroom.
I was on holiday in Tunisia and encountered handheld bidets for the first time there. I was unsure at first, but by the end of my holiday I wondered how I had gone my entire life without the convenience and improved cleanliness that washing your business with water gives. Once I returned to the US and told all my friends about it somebody suggested I could probably find it on Amazon and the rest is history.Installation : easy as pie. I didn't use any additional tools and only tightened everything by hand. The original hose I got had some sort of manufacturers defect that made it unusable without leaking, but the seller promptly sent me a replacement.Use: I use this guy every day. I live close to my place of work and I choose to go home for my lunch, not only to get food, but also to enjoy my afternoon bathroom visit at home. I was instructed by locals in tunisia that you spray everything, use your hand to help clean of needed, and then wash your hand with soap and water. Use toilet paper just to dry your backside of you're in a hurry, and if you are not in a hurry, just hang out a bit and drip dry while you're probably on your phone anyway.Other uses: since the hose is long enough to reach my bathtub, I place my house plants in the tub and the use the hose to water them. I use the hose when I'm filling up my humidifier or any large container that I don't plan on drinking. I use the hose to rinse my sink and bathtub after cleaning them.I always close the water when I'm not using the hose and spray out any water still in the hose, just as a precaution after reading how other people ended up with leaks after their houses deteriorated over time. I don't know that that would happen with this unit.I highly recommend this product. It's improved my life! If you've been hesitating, just buy it.

A problem nobody else has mentioned
The hose is metal encased, and the whole unit seems to be well made. However, where the metal hose contacts the toilet seat (non plastic), it leaves a black mark that cannot be removed. I suppose I could cover the hose with a clear plastic tube. Perhaps a plastic toilet seat would be impervious to marking. In the mean time, it looks like my toilet seat has an area of a severe attack of black mold. I'm not easily disgusted, but this is revolting.

Powerful Jet; Great for cleaning anything
I haven't actually used it successfully for it's intended purpose as a bidet (takes some getting used to), but it's great for my intended use as a general sprayer for cleaning the bathroom. I plan on getting a second one for my basement bathroom ... as soon as I reinstall the toilet down there.I have a fancy water efficient shower head in my bathroom which is great for showering, but terrible for actually cleaning any thing. I got this, with it's long hose, to simplify cleaning the tub and any other bulky items that need occasional washing (ie: vacuum dust bin).To my surprise, the power on this sprayer is quite impressive. Certainly more powerful than my Kitchen sinks sprayer, and possibly even stronger than my old shower head's jet mode. Perfect for cleaning whatever may come along. As for cleaning whomever, I've yet to figure out the trick to using this for it's intended purpose without spraying water everywhere. For one thing, it is likely easier to use on toilets that have a longer seat than mine. For another, the trigger handle is sensitive and while it's possible to activate the sprayer at lower pressure, it's difficult to do so reliably. The cutoff valve can be used to reduce the maximum pressure, but sometimes you want to start with low pressure to adjust your aim without making too much of a mess before switching to full pressure. This is the only reason I took a star off.
