Q: Can the switch between computers be accomplished by using the keyboard?

No, this unit CANNOT switch computer using a hot key on the keyboard. I overlooked the fine print and found out after I received the unit. When shopping for software switchable unit, stay away from the "manually switched" ones, it implies switching is accomplished by pushing the button at the switch. Hope it helps.

Q: I just received the kvm today. Why there are usb ends, where should i plug them into?

Hello, my friend. The usb pigtail need to be connected into the host computer. Pls make sure that do not plug it reverse. The usb ends is used for the transmission of power and keyboard mouse data. More question, pls feel free to contact us.
